Two problems related to front driver side air bag inflator have been reported for the 2008 Mazda CX9. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Received recall notice for passenger side air bad in July 2016, and have made three attempts to have the repair done, each time I have been told the parts are not available. In August 2017, I received another recall notice for the "final repair using a modified inflator. . . ". I am disappointed with the response I've received and will try again, however I don't think a year long wait for an air bag replacement is reasonable or acceptable.
