Steering Problems of Mazda CX9 - part 2

I purchased the car with 7,000 miles and since the beginning there has been a humming noise every time I turn the steering wheel to either side. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was a piece of plastic stuck to the control arm. The car continued making the noise only audible on a quiet night and now the car has 30,000 and humming is more pronounced day and night with only slight turn angle. The other issue is the drivers seat has a little play, felt during turns. And the last issue is the usb just stopped working.

I have just learned about issues with the Mazda Cx9 and wheels falling off and I realized that is exactly what happened to me. I always took care of my cx 9 because I drive a lot for work and depend on my car very much, so when issues with the steering started I took it to sears for a wheel alignment since I had just replaced a new set of tires a couple of months before, it seemed ok after the alignment until again the small skip of the steering started every time I turn the wheel, I did think much of it until it started increasing. Every time I turned the wheel the skip was there, I decided to call my mechanic who always did all the car service and maintenance and he said to bring it in over the weekend to take a look, before I had the chance to bring it to him, as I was making a right turn the wheel came right off the transfer case and the arms, good thing I was just making a right turn, minutes before I was on the highway and I don't even want to think about what could have happened. . . I thought it had been just a freak accident and I was happy to be alive. I had the mechanic come and pick up the car from the street and after surveying the damages he had to replace both upper and lower arms on both sides and then he noticed that the transfer case had been damaged when the axel pulled away, so now we needed a new transfer case and it is not an easy job. Now that it is all done I found that it has happened many times, this is not right and makes me angry to know that the owners were not informed right away, I could have had my children in the car. .

Tl-the contact owns 2012 Mazda motor corp. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, the vehicle jerked to the left without warning causing the vehicle to hit a tree. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The car has been turning off while driving with no prior indications or warnings. Engine turns off and steering wheel freezes and locks up. This has occurred multiple time and we have taken the car to the dealer a number of times who has inspected it and even kept it at the shop drove it for a number of days and could not pinpoint the problem. We have made Mazda USA aware of the issue and the potential threat of this vehicle (they gave us a case # 149456450) however, sadly their attitude is that if the problem cant be pinned then it does not exist. This is a clear ignorance on Mazda USA's part and putting the public in a risk with this vehicle.

Incident -1 traveling about 45 mph decelerating to make a right turn, the car stalls out leaving me with no control of steering and little ability to brake. Incident 2- making right turn (decelerating) car stalls out leaving me with no steering and little braking control. Incident 3- pulled up into driveway on slope. Put the car in reverse to back out, car stalled out leaving me with very little ability to brake.

The contact owns a 2009 cx-9. The contact stated that while traveling 40 mph, the vehicle began to shake and veer to the left abnormally. The vehicle shortly began to operate normally. The vehicle was able to be driven to the contact's residence and was later taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the issue. The failure and current mileages were 56,000.

I have the same steering problem with my 2007 Mazda cx-9 as noted in other complaints. Steers to the left automatically since day 1. Dealer has tried to adjust front end, tire pressure, etc. At least 2 or 3 times and have said they can't do anything else.

Since the first day I had the new car it has pulled to the left, it has been in the shop 4 times to be fixed, each time I get the car back with the same pulling problem, on the final time it was in they tried to fix it 3 times unsuccessfully, they finally called me and told me there was nothing else they could do. Lemon Mazda Cx9 is a lemon.

2007, 2008 & 2009 Mazda Cx9 has steering problems. When you don't hold it tightly, the car will veer to the left 80% of the time and 20% to the right. The car will not go straight at any speeds and on even pavements such as a car park.

From day 1 the car has been road-crazy. . . You have to continually correct to left and right. . . Dealership says from "crown in the road". . . . Have had it re-aligned numerous times. . Has 25k now and front tires are nearly worn out. . . Has 20" wheels (which they no longer offer as option).
