The contact owns a 2007 Mazda 6 with a set of bridgestone potenza replacement tires, g019 grid, line size 215/50r17xl95v. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle began to ride roughly on the driver side. She discovered that the rear driver side tire sidewall was fractured and the tire was losing pressure. The contact stated she did not strike any object that would have caused the failure. The dealer advised they were not liable for the tire yet advised the contact to bring the vehicle in for further examination. The contact stated she would have an investigator examine the tires before taking them to the dealer for inspection. The tire mileage was unknown. The failure mileage was 87,891.

The contact stated she noticed there was a bubble the size of an orange along the sidewall of the left front tire. She removed the tire and replaced it with the spare tire. Upon further investigation she discovered the right front tire had a bubble the size of an egg in the sidewall as well. She contacted the dealer, where the vehicle was purchased. The dealer suggested this was most likely due to a road hazard. She contacted a tire dealer, who also stated the problem was due to a road hazard. Both tires were replaced. Updated 3/9/2006 -.
