5 While driving between 1500 and 2500 rpms, the car suddenly drops in rpms and either stalls altogether or starts making a jerking motion and thudding noise. Cannot get out of the gear unless you jam on the accelerator. Extremely dangerous and near undrivable on the highway. Had has happened twice before, ruining the engine coils the first time and the catalytic converters the second time. It seems the pcm is faulty and ruining all of the associated parts. Have read up on the topic and many other owners have have the same issue with the stalling and jolting of the issue, all associated with the pcm. This very much seems like an issue that should be recalled, as the repairs are significantly costly and affect many vehicles.

9 Sudden increase of acceleration. . . Tachometer up to 3000, engine very fast, had a hard time holding brakes until I was able to put in park and turn off the engine. Another problem is loss of idle so low it will stall out if alittle gas is not applied at a stop. Car bucks and jerks like its misfiring but have had a complete tune up and put on diagnostic machine with no results. . . Or changes in how the car runs! have had all of these problems 9-15 times over the last 6. 5 yrs. Since purchased. Its been very scary not knowing when or where it may happen again. Serious problems exist even with the recall work done.

10 Vehicle is sometimes hard to start and it stalls frequently in traffic. A tune-up was done, fuel system parts replaced. Dealer recently reprogrammed the pcm with no change in performance. Near accident this morning with a school bus. Vehicle just cut off as I slowed to make a right turn.
