Please allow this to serve as a limited notice to I) mercedes-benz ag, ii) mbusa and iii) daimler ag of a new takata airbag inflator rupture for tread compliance purposes. The subject vehicle is a 2012 mercedes-benz C250w,VIN#: ***************** (the vehicle). I have the privilege of representing two individuals who were severely injured on 11/7/2020 when the passenger-side takata airbag installed in the vehicle improperly ruptured during a crash event deployment. The vehicle was in motion at the time of the rupture. Due to the violent explosion of the inflator module, the inflator's igniter caps and housing blew apart and struck the passenger, a young female, in the face and head with lethal velocity. The incident occurred in pinellas county, florida. The young female passenger has been hospitalized for 2 weeks with severe injuries and multiple surgical procedures. Her current injuries include but are not limited to, loss of vision in her left eye, cognitive trauma, facial paralysis and diminished hearing capacity in both ears: as shown below, the passenger-side airbag module blew apart (as we have seen in multiple passenger-side takata bags)due to the large amount of ammonium nitrate propellant used in this model for deployment. The below images show pieces of the inflator module post-explosion, including the inflator mesh, housing and igniter caps from stage 2 separation. ## VIN passed ## 2012 mercedes-benz C250w ##.

Hello, my C250, 2013 Mercedes Benz is the subject of manufacturer recall number: 2018030004, and NHTSA recall number: 18v043. This is in regards to the takata air bag defect. My Mercedes Benz dealership sent me over ten (10) recall notices in the mail and via emails. Every time I called the dealerships to schedule a service appointment to replace the airbag, they would tell me that they don't have the parts, and that I should call back in few weeks. This has been going on for months now, and despite several recall notices being received. Mercedes benz dealership has failed to fix the defective airbag despite the fact that if the airbag deploys, a passenger-side airbag inflator explosion during deployment could result in metal fragments striking the front passenger or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death. Below is the name and address of my Mercedes Benz dealership: mercedes-benz of south bay 3311 pacific coast highway torrance, CA 90505 (855) 302-0511 you attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you! regards, (xxxx) p. S. For the date field below of "when did this happen?", I entered the date of the last recall notice email I received from Mercedes Benz dealership.

"takata recall" - my vehicle has the recall since January 18, 2017 with no resolution to date. Fortunately no crashes have taken place in my car but I don't want to see what happens with the airbag inflator if it does.
Recall information: passenger side air bag summary: mercedes-benz USA is recalling certain my 2010-2017 c-class, glk-class, sls-class and e-class coupe mercedes-benz vehicles equipped with passenger-side frontal airbags affected by the defect decision of tk holdings, inc. (takata). Under certain circumstances during a crash that necessitates frontal airbag deployment, the defect in your passenger-side frontal airbag inflator may cause the inflator to explode. A passenger-side inflator explosion during deployment could result in metal fragments striking the front passenger or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death. Safety risk: according to takata, in the event of an inflator explosion, metal fragments could pass through the air bag cushion material, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. Remedy: an authorized mercedes-benz dealer will replace the passenger-side airbag.

Takata inflators - I was sold a mercedes C250 by an authorized mercedes dealership as a certified pre-owned vehicle in March 2016. While selling the vehicle, the dealership showed me a carfax report with no open recalls. This recall has been open since Jan 2016 implying that I was sold the vehicle using fraudulent information. Also since then it has been 2 years with no remedy as the parts are not available. I contacted the customer service and was told they cannto help solve this.

Takata recall safety risk: your passenger-side airbag is affected by this recall based on the defect decision of tk holdings, inc. (takata). Under certain circumstances during a crash that necessitates frontal airbag deployment, the defect in your passenger-side airbag inflator may cause the airbag to explode during deployment and could result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death. Unitl today's date there is no remedy for this airbag problem of my vehicle from mercedez benz and would like to get a replacement of the car bought back.
I just got off the phone with mbusa customer service about the takata recall. In the letter sent out, it states that a passenger- side inflator explosion during deployment could result in sharp metal fragments striking the front passenger or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death. but that there are no parts available to fix this possible dangerous situation if it happens to occur. I told the phone representative I feel unsafe driving my car, especially with my son with me and asked if mb can offer me a rental car until the parts are available to fix the recall. She said mb at this time is not in the position to offer rental cars. And I replied you are saying that mb is not willing to give me a rental car while you have sent out a recall stating I can be in danger but are unable to fix the problem?. And she repeated that mb is not in the position to offer rental cars at this time. I feel like there should be something mercedes should do. I understand mb is sending out the recall notices to save themselves if something does happen to a driver due to the recall, and I am assuming they are hoping customers just disregard the notice. If a customer, such as myself feels unsafe because of this recall and if mb is not going to resolve it now, then what are my options ?.
Takata inflators-I currently have 2 recalls on my car; one 10/05/17 NHTSA 17v627 and other one from 1/10/18 #18v043 with the airbags. Neither one has a remedy yet and I was told this weekend at the dealer to not let anyone sit in the passenger side due to danger. This is not an option for me. I was also told the earlier recall is also dangerous yet no eta on repairs. I am single parent with college student as well as handicap mother in her 80s . . . I need this fixed now. . . . . Just to be told I will be contacted when there is a repair is not an answer. I am terrified to drive the car and have no options on this. Please help put my car in priority line for repair or else I should have lkq loaner until it is repaired. My car suffered flood damage at 4 months of age in 2014 and I am very concerned parts were compromised that could affect this even more! (the car was purchased in south florida and we moved to GA 2015 thus high humidity exposure).
Takata inflators - I received a letter from Mercedes Benz stating what's wrong with the airbags, all the dangers (including death) and that I'm in group priority 7. I'm being informed that the part will not be available until 12/18 (this being 01/18). In the meantime I need to drive a car that could potentially kill me or a passenger. How is this ok? I expect a part now, not in 11 months.
Takata recall. Mercedes-benz is in clear violation of 49 u. S. C. Chapter 301 in that they have failed to correct what is desribed as a passenger-side airbag inflator that could rupture deploying metal fragments that could kill or seriously injury this car's occupants.
I received a recall notice for the takata airbag inflators. My mercedes is affected; however, there has not been a fix provided.
"takata inflators recall". I've called lockey Mercedes Benz in clearwater twice and they keep telling me my car is not in the list for this recall that I should not worry. I think they don't want to take responsibility for it and that its against the law. Then I called Mercedes Benz in tampa and I also went there to speak to someone about it. They said I am in the recall list and there is nothing they can do about it. They can't fix it because they don't have the part for it. They are not even offering a loaner. I don't feel safe in this car anymore. I don't have any other car to drive. Please can you tell what should I do?.
Takata inflators involved on a car accident on 02/27/2017 were this vehicle air bags didn't deployed. This vehicle was a total loss and got paid off by my insurance but I am still hurt.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 mercedes-benz C250. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v017000 (air bags) for the front passenger inflator; however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall; I received notice of recall for defective airbag inflators on January 10, 2017. Called to schedule recall repair with Mercedes Benz of sugarland in sugarland, texas. Informed that parts were not available at that time and I would receive notice from the Mercedes Benz company when parts become available and repair would be scheduled. It is now October 23, 2017 and parts are still not available per dealership's service department. I'm currently operating a vehicle with potentially dangerous air bags and cannot get any remedy. Help me.
Takata recall: this vehicle also has a safety recall on this vehicle and the dealership stated they had no replacement parts to repair the inflators, so it is dangerous for the car to be driven.
