When I was driving, the passenger active headrest suddenly deployed and pop out. I’m glad on one was on the passenger seat, and the airbags did not deployed. I’m concerned about the safety of airbags accidentally deploy in the future with the broken headrest.

On July 17, 2021 I was driving at the posted rate of speed down I-275 southbound here in michigan. All of the sudden and without warning, there was a loud explosion which happened, from as near as I can tell, in the driver's side windshield pillar, where there is an airbag. No warning lights came on, and the car did not change its driving characteristics. Only after I reached my destination and searched under the dash, and every where else (including the exterior), did I find that the plastic "cover" on the pillar is pushed away from the pillar and much more loose than the plastic cover on the passenger side. Since the incident, I have had severe tinnitus in my left ear which was about 15-18" away from it. The air bag did not deploy. I did not hit a pothole, did not hit a bump, did not hit another vehicle.

While driving in a curved onramp connecting from one street to another the vehicle experienced a complete loss of steering ability which resulted in the vehicle continuing to move straight, off the pavement, and into a wall. The vehicle bounced off of the wall and loss of steering ability continued and the vehicle could not be controlled, crossed the road, went over a guardrail, and down an embankment until it came to a stop (approx 100ft). The vehicle engine never turned off until it came to a stop at which point the vehicle was manually turned off. No airbags deployed. There were no warning lights or signals of failing components prior to the loss of steering. An initial review by the body shop states that the vehicle is a total loss. The vehicle has been meticulously dealer maintained since the time of delivery as a new vehicle. The vehicle is pending inspection by mercedes-benz and by the insurance representative. The issue appears to be the same as those recalls described by NHTSA campaign number 18v872000 and/or 18v850000. The vehicle was never included in either of those recall campaigns. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request, but mercedes-benz is picking up the vehicle to perform its inspection.

Passenger side airbag light keeps coming on when someone is sitting in the car. My electrical system shuts off and on and goes haywire.
Every time I start my car it smells like gas and it's so strong to the point where it gives me headaches. Also I was on the freeway and the roads were wet from previous rain and I almost died and hydroplaned on the freeway. Even if it's a small bit of rain my car starts shaking as if I don't have control. I do not feel safe in this car and I just got the car a month ago.
The passenger head rest malfunctioned while vehicle was off no key in the ignition and in a safe location.

I have a mb C300 2008 the car never had an issue until I brought it in for a airbag recall 2 weeks later I get an srs malfunction, esp and abs failure car doesn't turn on next day the car turns on and engine light goes on, then lights stayed on even after car was off next day lights went off while driving in dark making for hazardous and quite scary situation mb is doing these recalls but jeopardizing the overall integrity of car I even replaced battery but this still occurred car was rendered undrivable and stuck in my driveway and had to have it towed and pay $380 just to look at it even though I told them they caused damage there is no way a perfectly running car coincidentally has major electrical issues post recall (they replaced entire stash board and steering wheel cover).

Upon finding out that this vehicle has two open airbag recalls, and the NHTSA website saying parts where available, I contacted the dealer for assistance in replacing the airbags. The dealer said that the airbags were on backorder from the manufacture with no timeline for potential replacement. Per instructions on the NHTSA website I am filling out this form to let the NHTSA know the manufacture has failed / is unable to remedy this dangerous safety recall in a timely manner.
Head rest both on passenger and driver front seats imploded without warning, without incident. I was not struck by a vehicle and I did not back into any object.
