Check engine light came on recently, fault code p052e is identified by scanner. Car has 60,000 miles on original it. Mb dealer wants to charge $300 for diagnostics, repair job (parts and labor) may cost over $2,000. Since this is critical emission compliance part/system, why is it not recalling?.
Positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve performance code p052e indicates a fault in the positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve performance for a predetermined.
Check engine light on, I read the code is p052e, after read some information in internet there is positive crankcase ventilation regulatory valve needs to be replaced. My car is 52000 miles and it seems like happenned to people even with less miles on the cars.

The engine lamp turned yellow. The car got inspected by a mechanic and showed code. P052e, which indicates the defect in the crankcase ventilation valve. I see that many cars of the same model in which were produced about the same year had the same defect. I called the manufacture customer service and they claim that my van was not included in the recall. My vehicle likely had the same problem as other people did in the past, but for some reason my VIN was not included.
Failed piston wrist pins from early production of mercedes w205 C300. The issue was diagnosed by mercedes of manhattan and could not provide me a fix. Stated that the issue is common with the vehicle and it does not warrant a recall for this issue. I believe its a safety issue and my vehicle only has 60k miles.
I have noticed a recurring issue during the colder months where there is a strong gas smell inside the cabin, and I have also observed fuel dripping into the engine compartment. This issue seems to occur primarily in winter conditions. I was surprised to find that there has been no official recall or service bulletin addressing this concern, especially given the potential safety implications.
Fuel is leaking inside cabin whenever I turn on my heat.
I have an error code: p052e.
My whole entire car smells like gas. I cannot drive this car around because I will pass out and it is a safety hazard. There is a recall for this exact same issue, just not for my VIN number. I would like to get this done for my car, please.
P052e positive crankcase ventilation regularly valve. 2015 Mercedes Benz C300 turbo 4matic.
Camshaft adjuster solenoid leaked oil into wiring harness, caused vehicle to go into limp mode and not accelerate/shift gears. This is a known problem with the m272 engine, this VIN did not show up on the recall list.

Check engine light. . . P052e positive crankcase ventilation regulatory valve.
Crankcase ventilation valve problem code p052e71.
Keep getting a code p052e! changed the oil and code went away for a few days then came back. Looked into getting it fixed and it seems like mercedes has known about this issue and hasn’t called for a recall on this piece of equipment! very costly to fix and says it needs to be replaced every 30k to 50k miles! at around 1k to 3k to fix everytime that’s something they should recall.
This vehicle was 2nd owner via mercedes cpo. Note I bought this 2016 in 2018 on cpo, so recalls and technical notes were confirmed to be resolved. Had last taken to mercedes dealership. Vehicle was always running fine until about 64,000+ miles when a check engine light came on while just entering the freeway and the vehicle started shaking violently. Continue to drive the vehicle for a few miles to get to the destination. Had the vehicle towed to the dealership and the dealership declared that cylinder 1 had lost 80% compression and had a cylinder 1 piston crack. This is consistent with numerous claims on mercedes message boards. Mercedes dealership said that this vehicle was not drivable and was not covered under warranty. Requested $11,000 for single piston repair or $15,000 for full engine rebuild replacement. Please note that m274 engine has this complaint. The engine is apparently a Nissan collaboration designed I-4 turbocharged engine and car is assembled in alabama. Internal mercedes technical bulletins talk about piston wrist pins. So mercedes know there is an issue and they know status on my vehicle. Mercedes dealers have sent me documents on piston wrist pins replacement status. The recommendation is to rebuild or buy new motor. So I have no confidence that an engine rebuild will fix the issue. All oil change maintenance records show proper oil at proper intervals and multi-point inspections. Correct use of premium gas was used. Vehicle had been inspected and given all green remarks on multipoint review before the incident. - got it ? requesting investigation as I have 3 vehicles, Toyota (2002), Honda(2008), and yes a mercedes(2005) with 216k miles. So don't tell me that this is my fault.
Error code p052e positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve performance.
Code p052e71 saying the crankcase is bad. Seems to be an issue with mb.
Purchased vehicle in March 2024 it went thru emission inspection in 2022 after failing it passed second time . I go for inspection and it fails emission test again just passed two years later. After doing my research positive crankcase ventilation system seems to be a very common problem. It also cost 2000 to fix. Appreciate you time thank you.
Check engine light p052e positive crankcase ventilation regulator value performance.
Check engine light on. Test results: positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve performance code : p052e.
The car is not starting. No dashboard no lights no window function no seat function no radio. Nothing. Ignition lights are not turning on and the car is dead. Car batteries were newly replaced but understand this could be eis and steering lock issues which is common in Mercedes Benz models. Why is manufacturer not compensating / correcting for common errors on his models?.

My wife was driving our 2020 Mercedes Benz C300 coupe near our house and the engine light came on. Then the car could not be driven over the speed of 30 miles per hour. Then it stopped and had to be towed. Fortunately, she was able to avoid being hit by other vehicles. The car only has 25219 miles. It was towed to a mechanic who performed a diagnostic test which provided a series of codes regarding the malfunction. Three codes were related to the camtronic camshaft system and its solenoid ( codes: p003c-53; p34ae-00; p34ad-09). Camshaft position actuators failure codes: p34ad; p34ae. The way it happened could have resulted in damage, serious injury or death since the car suddenly stopped. The car is well maintained. We believe that there is a manufacturer's defect since this is a garaged vehicle that is well maintained and has low mileage.

The contact owns a 2009 mercedes-benz C300. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, a message displayed reading "srs system requires service. " the air bag and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the vapor canister shutoff valve but did not provide a diagnosis for the srs system. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 99,000.

Cracked piston in cylinder #1. After doing research this is a common problem in the m274 engine from 2015-2018 which mercedes is aware of but does nothing. Mercedes need to be held responsible and a recall issued. This isn't a 2 or 3 thousand dollar repair!! this repair is 6 figures!!! please hold them acountable!!! thx.
This is my send time writing in. Mercedes used the wrong wrist pins for the pistons leading to my wife getting a cracked piston on freeway in phx. If you look up cylinder 1 issues on this model there is a lot of people who have encountered this. Why this hasn't been recalled and sticking consumers with a10k plus repair is beyond me. If you use the wrong parts you should be responsible for the repair!!!.
Po52e71 the valve for crankcase ventilation has malfunction.
