The vehicle was in drive, as I was turning right, the vehicle shifted from p(park) to n(netural) on the roadway. The car would not allow me to shift back to drive. I had to literally turn the car off and then back on in the middle of the road in order to put it back in drive thankfully, there was not a vehicle nearby at the time, which could have caused a major accident or lost of life. At the time there was not a warning message at the time. Three days later tire pressure warning with fluctuating numbers occurred. I have only had this vehicle, purchased new for under five months. The vehicle is currently sitting in the service department at the mercedes dealership waiting on a diagnosis(4) days so far. I will no longer feel safe and fear for my safety in that vehicle.

I am attempting to submit a complaint against the mercedes-benz product and other auto manufacturers that follow this process. Mercedes provides no spare tire so this has been replaced by a "fix a flat" system that you can presumably use stop a tire air leak and then drive to a shop for repair. The fix a flat does not work when the tire is blown out or shredded so when this happens you are left with needing to have the vehicle towed to the dealership if using mercedes' roadside assistance or to another shop at your own expense. Towing to a mercedes dealership captures you to use the replacement parts in their inventory and costly labor charges. The time it takes to replace a tire is ridiculous considering a spare tire could be put on in a fraction of the time. There are approx. 30k miles on our vehicle and it has had to be towed twice for tires where the fix a flat did not work. Is this a safety issue? absolutely, if you are driving outside of a city and the tire blows out then you are left with few options to resolve this and you better be in an area with cell phone coverage to contact roadside assistance otherwise you are stuck. I understand that "run flat" tires are now used but then why didn't mercedes provide these automatically when our 2022 vehicle was purchased? these details need to be made know to consumers because the time and money spent for tire replacement on these vehicles is considerable and we are averaging having to deal with this once a year so far.

My car is a 2015 Mercedes Benz, I bought it at the agency in 2022. When I tested the vehicle at the agency, I noticed the steering was a little hard. I asked the sales person and he told me it was normal. Then, after 1 year and 5 months, it was on its way. I went to work and the steering wheel jammed and it wouldn't cross and the car turned off then it didn't want to start and it said the following on the dashboard power stering see operator manual.

The panoramic sunroof is locked in an open position and will no longer close.
I got an oil change since it was due then “p052e” it’s a very common issues with the engine first time it’s happened at 66k miles.
I was taking my son to work and I heard my sunroof open and close when the controls were not being touched . I’m afraid if it opens and it closes on its own that it could fly off my car and hit someone else’s car and possibly injure some one .
Recently I was driving and heard a knocking/creaking noise in the left rear. When braking I felt as though I was going to lose control of the vehicle. . . Vehicle appeared to fishtail and pull to the left. I first noticed it on [xxx] when I was driving on the highway in excess of 60 mph. On [xxx] I brought it to my mechanic (genesee auto repair, 40 liberty street, salem, nh (603)898-1899) and my mechanic informed me that the left rear subframe had rotted out and told me that I should not be driving the car. There were no warning lamps or messages indicating there was a problem. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Pcv valve malfunction, common in my model year.
Took my 2012 mercedes C300 to my mechanic and the rear sub frame is rusting out.

The issue is that the trunk lid closes abruptly and unintentionally. On Saturday, February 3, 2024, as I was putting a shopping bag in the trunk of my car, the trunk lid closed abruptly without my pressing the close button and hit my forehead. The impact was such that my eyeglasses flew off my face and hit the ground. The pain was severe and two days later, I still have pain. While there was no tear to the skin, there's a bump on my forehead and is still painful. The head injuries generally do not show adverse symptoms until months after the incident. I called the Mercedes Benz corporation and after they checked the car VIN, said there had not been any recall for this specific issue. However, searching the internet, there are reports and complaints about this exact defect.

Positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve failing and code p052e comes up. Mercedes benz said this is a problem with all 2015 C300 and should be recalled.
While driving on the highway, I tried to open my panoramic sunroof, it made a grinding sound and was stuck in the open position with one corner for the sunroof slanted higher than the other. I was afraid that the sunroof would shatter or that the wind would blow off components. Afterward, the sunroof would not close even after I took it to the dealership. They informed me that they could not close the sunroof and my only option was to repair it for $4,000 or buy another car. After looking at the costs of replacement cars, I decided to pay for the repairs out of pocket. I found on multiple reddit and mercedes forums that this is a common issue in mercedes c class vehicles made on and around 2016. My service advisor told me that he has so many customers from these panoramic sunroofs failing due to a cost cutting measure from mercedes who decided to use plastic tracks instead of metal. He also informed me that they went back to metal a few years after my car was manufactured. This leads me to believe that mercedes acknowledged the issue and is trying to hide it from NHTSA. Here is a link to a forum post that has a similar picture to how mine looked, notice that one side is stuck in a higher position. Https://mbworld. Org/forums/c-class-w205/734208-pano-roof-failure. . Sun roof not opening. Mechanic notified me that this is a known issue, but no recall at this time.
There are water intrusion that happened to other model of mercedes, my car have the same problem, when I bring it to the mercedes dealer, they found a lot of water inside the trunk, but they insisted that I had accident, but there no accident that I know of.
The sam box (electrical system fuze panel) located under the hood is in a spot where if the lid isn't on correctly water will drain from the windshield right into the sam box and cause the vehicles electrical system to deploy the steering wheel airbag. That's at least what happened to me. It was raining out that day and I guess I went over a bump that caused the lid of the sam to get out of place. I drove home and the car seat for a few hours. I went out upon unlocking the door as soon as I pulled the handle to open the driver side door the steering wheel airbag blew and the vehicle is now in srs mode. The dealership had told me that it's a design flaw but wants me to pay for the diagnostic. No lights were on and I did not file a police report.
Crankcase ventilation valve emission modification -error p052e71 -error p06da00.
My panoramic sunroof has an extreme amount wind coming through it while driving 40 miles per hour . I can also hear my panoramic sunroof sliding back and forth . I’m terrified that that it will fly off while driving and cause a road hazard .
Crankcase breather faulty.
Factory amg rims. 3 of the 4 rims have cracked. The last rim cracked with brand new tires. So it is not a tire issue. I find it unbelievable looking online how may others have had this problem with amg rims. Does not seem acceptable.

My rear subframe has corroded and has snapped, which is a major safety issue as while driving when I come to a stop the rear end of the car swags sideways. It do not stop straight.
The rear subframe rusted and needed complete replacement. The service department would not pass the car for inspection without replacement. My brother, who also has a mercedes C300 model but from the prior year, reported that he had the exact same issue. However, mercedes issued an extended warranty on his model. In researching this issue, I have discovered that this rusted subframe issue is prevalent in C300 models in all years, not just the model years before mine. I compared the service notes from my invoice with my brother's invoice. It is the exact same issue. I contacted both the mercedes dealership and mercedes corporate about this issue, seeking resolution. I provided them with all the documentation. Their answer is simply that my VIN does not qualify under their extended warranty and refused to look into it further, despite my pointing out that it is the exact same problem.
In the past few months while driving this car in the washington DC metro area at normal road speed, the car has suddenly and unexpectedly lost driver power. Each time, I have pushed down on the gas pedal, and after some hesitation the car has moved forward, and then continued to operate normally. This has happened three times in the past 3-4 months.
Front drive shaft on 2015 Mercedes Benz c-300 severed from u-joint(s) on highway, causing catastrophic failure of components and significant damage to front exhaust, catalytic converter, and heat shields. Damaged observed on transmission and/or engine block. The approximate cost to repair was $6,500. 00 in parts and labor. Failure of subject component(s) resulted in loss of some control and acceleration. Prior to failure, observed increasing vibration from center of vehicle while exceeding 65 mph but no more than 80 on highway. Audible clunking noise when shifting from "park" or "neutral" to "drive. " no warning lamps and/or messages regarding failed component(s). Vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, and/or insurance representatives. Dealer provided inspection and findings.
I started hearing noises about a week ago while driving. Last night while driving home in the evening traffic, I braked and car violently jerked and veered to the right almost hitting the car in the front. I took the car to a shop this morning and they found that the rear subframe had collapsed due to rust and advised the car was extremely dangerous to drive.
P052e. Positive crankcase ventilator valve replacement.
Engine light with code p052e.
The check engine light came on with the error code p052e - pcv valve failure while the car is only driven for less than 38k miles. I am worried about the quality of the car/engine.
2015 made c399 pvc change cost more than $1,000. Almost every driver has this issue.
Over the weekend my vehicle driver side interior door handle became inoperable not allowing me to open my door from the inside. The handle flaps back & forth with no connect to the inside of door panel not making be able to get out of my vehicle. I was stuck & had to climb over to passenger side to get out. It only opens from outside . It has been functioning well for the life of me owning the vehicle, never giving me any problem until now, suddenly with no warning that it was breaking. My mercedes dealer said I need a whole door panel & they have had several calls from other C300 owners where this handle broke also recently. So they are aware & admitted so. This is a recall or factory defect in my eyes. Also I looked online & this is very common because of a plastic not metal part mercedes uses . Is this not unsafe enough to be recalled? it’s a no brainer! not bein able to exit your vehicle at all. I was so scared and shocked a car of this class has this safety issue and they do not do a thing to their owners to fix it, its on owner and their pockets. This should be taken care of immediately for free. Are they waiting for someone to have an accident and lose their life to act on replacing this problem?! again I feel this is a major safety recall that needs to be addressed ASAP. Safety, peace of mind, accessibility to exit/enter your vehicle. If no one can help you from the outside, you have to climb out from passenger side or thru the back of the vehicle. You can open your window too, but what if that jams electrically …. You are stuck. $900 plus labor should not be on me but should be in mercedes hands to value my life & others lives more than any price as a standard part of their fleet of cars they have driving across USA. High end luxury car w/a faulty door handle that leaves you unable to get out, unbelievable ! has safety hazard written all over it. I have a video & submitted a pic of my issue. This is my second mb I owned and I never had this danger occur.
Positive crankcase ventilation regularly valve. This issue is in so many C300s and should be recalled for that reason.
Had to have crankcase ventilation system replacement at 74k miles. $2,032. 98 to replace. Did get a check engine light.
