Car was elevated on a 2 post car lift and we were working on the underside of the body. 2 sharp blows were struck on a bolt head on the underside of the car with a hammer in an effort to loosen the bolt. After the second blow, the drivers side side airbags deployed. The car was stationary, the transmission was in neutral and the ignition key was turned to the accessory position.

While driving along fort dix road, in pemberton, NJ, the driver side airbags deployed, with no explain sign. Upon the deployment of the airbags the vehicle lost power and was unable to accellarate to drive to side of road was able to roll. Upon the vehicle stopping, the airbags smacked me on my left side leaving me in total pain on my left side upper arm. Upon getting out of the vehicle, I noticed that the airbags had only deployed on the driver's side, both front and back doors airbags along with the airbag in drivers side upper area which covered the windows. My four year old daughter was in the car, on the passenger side but no damage or deployment of airbags. Upon trying to start the vehicle and moving it completely off the ride, the vehicle would not move, even when vehicle was put in drive or reverse.
Driving on the freeway, 61 mph, start raining hard, pouring, car slipped, turned and hit the wall on the side of the freeway heads on straight. Got hit by another car on the side, after couple of turns, it stopped on the middle of the freeway. Couple of side air bags deployed, the most important ones, the front air bags, driver and passenger side did not deployed.

Driver side srs airbag deployed spontaneously. Not related to any collision or accident. Car was stopped, in park, when driver side airbag deployed banging into the driver left side and arm. If the car had not been stopped, the driver probably would have lost control of the car and an accident would have occurred. Driver sustained bruise to the left side and left arm.

The service dealer states the passengers in the rear of the car were jolted because of hitting the rubber in the road. Contact states while decelerating the transmission down shifts, the brake system slows down too much and vehicle lurches forward. In stop and go traffic has no brake control.
