Mercedes Benz E350 owners have reported 6 problems related to adaptive equipment (under the equipment category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on a side street looking for an address, a warning message appeared something like "lane guidance system inoperative". Subsequently, the engine lost power and would not move the vehicle more than about 3 mph. We pulled off to the side, not knowing what to do. I shut off the engine and restarted it and it appeared to work normally for the rest of the trip home. We wonder what would have happened if we had been in a middle lane on a freeway when this happened. I plan on contacting the dealer today for more information and to have them inspect the car.

Adblue heater/senor for the emission control on the 2011 mercedes-benz E350 bluetec fail after 80,000 miles the problem with the system is that it starts a count down which is displayed on the dash to how many starts are left before the car completely shuts down and will not start because of a heater/senor. So here I am held captive by the number of starts I have left to get the car to a dealership to correct the problem. My problem with this is a $50,000. 00 plus car shouldn't be shutting down for a emission control system.

Was driving on 95n around 65 mph when vehicle loses power !!! I was in the left hand lane and traffic was flowing. It was by the grace of god that I made it to the right shoulder without causing a major accident for myself as well as for other vehicles. The engine light came on and the anti skid and anti skid off lights came on also it said consult owners manual. The vehicle is brand new and I never want to drive it again!!!. After I stopped I cut the vehicle off and restarted the vehicle to try and get home. On the way home it did it three more times. I could have killed myself and my daughter also who ever else was on the road. Once I got home I was really pissed after reading about all the other benz owners that had the exact same problem. This is terrible for a brand new mercedes !!!!!!.
I was driving down the road on layton Ave and 43rd street, and out of nowhere the headrests of the vehicle exploded, pushing my neck forward. Granted I went over a hole not that big, but the explosion was so drastic that it pushed my seat forward and my neck is now sore and tender from the impact. I am really scare now that this can happen anywhere. I called Mercedes Benz dealership and they said that they want me to bring the car so the can reset the system. I dont like that idea, because I got this car brand new and now the value really change. I dont feel safe in it anymore. I dont think mercedes is willing to take the car back either. Should I follow a lawsuit? I have 5 months left on this lease but anything can happen with this car now since alreade showed some malfunction. Headrests are supposed to popped out only if you are rear ended.
My husband and I just purchased a 2014 mercedes e 350 convertible and the first time I placed a standard size water bottle in the cup holder it fell under the pedals on the first turn. The cup holder are not safe to use for any cups or bottles.
I own a 2006 mercedes e-series with 47,000 miles. I have noticed a fuel smell when the car is in the garage after refilling the tank. The problem was recently diagnosed as a faulty fuel tan seal. The dealer has indicated this is a dangerous condition and the car should not be driven. The estimated repair cost is over $600. In researching this on the internet I find this is a common dangerous problem but there has not been a recall. I also find that in instances where the seal has been replaced, the problem reoccurs a short time later and it is related to the entire mechanism, not just the seal. I feel this issue should be addressed by mercedes and plan to report this to the NHTSA. Please advise.
