I smelled a strong scent of gas after parking my car yesterday, more prominent in the trunk. I brought my car into mercedes today and was told I had a crack in my fuel filter. I have heard complaints regarding the fuel system and wonder if it is a recall issue. Thank you.
I began to notice a strong smell of gasoline inside my garage for the past week. Last weekend I was waiting for someone inside my car with the engine running and I felt the strong smell of gasoline. I noticed that the smell decreased somewhat when my gas level went down almost to empty. When I refuel the car the smell got very strong again. I am calling the dealer to make an appointment.
