Dealership advised, at this time there is no parts available or information from mercedes to fix this. I have tried for months to call to set up getting this resolved, and no one has a time or date of when this can be fixed. This has become a safety issue, and I need a resolution quick. I've emailed and called consistently every 2-3 months and they keep telling me they haven't gotten the replacement airbags in yet. Now I hear takata is declaring bankruptcy. Will my airbag replacement be affected by this? will the airbags ever be replaced? scary to drive around every day knowing I have a couple of shrapnel grenades in my steering wheel and dash, just waiting to explode and severely injure or kill me in the event of even a minor collision. Portsmouth mercedes has not received replacement air bags as of today 11/7/2017. I have called tk holdings but have only received a recording. I am unable to get replacement air bags for the defective ones that are in my mb glk, which is to be free. They have no estimated timeline for when they expect the parts to be available. Are we supposed to drive the car indefinitely until the parts become available to fix the airbags?.

I have not gotten the free replacement airbags from any of the dealerships near me. So far nothing has happened to the airbags as of now. I use my car very often and I do not want to become part of the statistics. I just want the airbags replaced.

I received a recall on April 2016 for the driver-side takata airbag and a recall on August 2016 for the passenger-side takata airbag. I have contacted mercedes on multiple occasions and nothing has been done. My dealership mercedes-benz of north palm beach 9275 FL a1aalt, north palm beach (561) 848-2900 cannot give me any answers as to when they could replace those bags and do not seem to care!! in the meantime I am driving with 2 potentially dangerous airbags!! it has been impossible to get any help with replacing those airbags! thank you for your help, thomas braun.
