The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the driver side sun visor mirror was repaired. The passenger side mirror detached from the passenger side sun visor six weeks after the repairs to the passenger side sun visor. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 55000. The local mechanic replaced the relay switch and the headlight switch, but the failure was not corrected and the contact could only use the high beam headlights. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic was performed, which located the failure at the headlight module. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact owns a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that the driver's side visor fell down, obstructing his vision of the roadway. The contact stated that he had to manually attach the visor to the top of the vehicle for it to remain upright. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the entire visor would need to be replaced. The failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 45,000. The left turn signals (front, rear & dash) blink faster than the right ones indicating a burnt out bulb even though the left bulbs work. We replaced the front & rear bulbs twice and they worked normal for a short period of time. Then they revert to blinking fast. I replaced the bulbs the first time and the dealership service center replaced the bulbs the second time. There must be something wrong in the electrical system. I've noticed this with other Grand Marquis also.

This is on my 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis GS. The light processor failed and my headlights went out after driving the vehicle for 5 to 10 minutes. They continue to do this until the system would reset, taking 15 to 30 seconds. This also happen on my 1997 Ford crown vic fire chiefs car when I had that vehicle. Both vehicles needed to have the light processor replaced costing over $500. 00. My mechanic stated that when he called the dealer they stated that they always keep 3 or 4 in stock because this is a problem. My question is why is this not a recall item??? the headlights going out while driving down the road at night must be a safety issue? thank you for your time in this matter.

First the driver window went out, passanger, and then the back and the locks go off when ever they want. My call has low miles for the year and it should not be acting this way. If I eould get into an accident I couldnt get out of my window if door didnt open and I know lots of people with the same car and having the same problem.
