Steering Failed problems of the 2011 Mercury Mariner

Tl the contact owns a 2011 Mercury Mariner. When the contact attempted to drive the vehicle, the steering wheel failed to turn and the power steering assist warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the torque sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer.
