Structure Problems of Mercury Mariner

The contact owns a 2009 Mercury Mariner. The contact stated that the windshield retained moisture on the inside and blocked her view. Previously, the passenger side floor board was replaced due to moisture retention. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer several times for the windshield failure. The dealer stated that they could not correct the failure. The manufacturer stated that the windshield moisture retention was a characteristic of the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. 2006 Mercury Mariner suffered a rollover after accident. Consumer states that there is no excuse why the vehicle flipped over on its top after being hit at a slow speed by a much smaller vehicle. Consumer would also like to know why the airbags did not deploy.

The vehicle had an odometer reading of 16,002 miles on the vehicle at the time of the incident. The contact stated that on the day of this incident the weather was clear and so were the road conditions. The contact had the vehicle towed to dana motors in staten island, NY, and the dealership replaced 4 lug: nuts and 4 wheel studs. The contact stated that on 12/10/06 the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was towed to dana motors ,and at that time the vehicle had 17,642 miles on it. The contact stated that the repair order stated that dealership replaced parts and gears. The dealership informed the contact that the transmission box was opened and found that the tray had pieces of metal in the transmission tray.
