The wrench light came on in the car and my obd sensor will not pick up a code on what it could be. I was driving it yesterday to merge onto a highway when suddenly I couldn’t pass 15 mph and was stuck witch cars beeping and zooming around me. I had to shut the car off wait and turn it back on. The amount of complaints I’ve seen about the same exact issue happening to people in the same exact car is ridiculous to not be a recall. I am almost certain it’s a throttle bottle issue. This needs to be looked into and investigated before Ford comes across a lawsuit.
The car will lose speed and I have to try to get off the highway with out being slammed by other vehicles it is extremely dangerous and I have seen lots of people are having the same problem please fix this problem before we get killed.
Rear windshield tint has hundreds of bubbles, making it impossible to see especially when dark. Theres been many instances where I have not been able to use my car when it’s dark because of the danger. And if it’s raining, I have absolutely no visibility. There’s no words to accurately describe how dangerous this is. I can’t back out of anywhere. The pictures will speak for themselves.
Serpentine belt come off making the car unable to drive. Oil accumulates on the belt pulley causes the belt to come off.
"takata recall" I am denied service for this defective airbag.
Pulley bolt has broken off 3 times now within 1500 miles of driving the car. Once driving on a city street, another time while sitting at a traffic light and the 3rd while on the highway going around a curve at higher speed. When the bolt breaks, it allows the pulley to be thrown around, and the serpentine belt to come off, resulting in loss of charging system, a/c system, and power steering system. The is a safety concern especially if you are traveling at high speed or turning a corner or going around a curve. My daughter could have had an accident if she had lost control of the vehicle while turning and having no power steering all of the sudden. Ford motor CO. Knows of this problem with the fusion and Milan vehicles and refuses to do a recall and or come up with a solution for the thousands who drive these vehicles daily. We are also incurring steep repair bills to replace the bolts and pulleys and belts that are broken or damaged when the bolt bends or breaks off.
Car is sputtering and won't pick up rpm goes high but no one has been able to figure out a diagnosis.
Went out to car to start before leaving to go to work notice that the car steering wheel would not turn. Got out the vehicle pop the hood of the car and seen that the belt had come off the pulleys the belt it's self was not broke but of the pulleys. This is the third time this has happen this year the first time I had to the car to jeffy lube to have it look at because the belt was squealing they check it out and I was told that the bolt had broke off and half of the bolt was still stuck in the hole. I had the bolt and pulley replace then. The second time I has sitting in my car with it on in parking lot and I heard something pop I got out pop the hood and notice the belt was off the pulley I had the car towed to a repair shop and was told the bolt that holds one of the pulleys was not fitting properly in the space where it belongs so it was loosening itself and the pulleys was coming a loose from its position allowing the belt to come off I had it fix. So there has to be a default problem with the pulley or bolt or the hole that the bolt goes in if the bolt keeps breaking off I'm tired of replacing the same problem every couple of months I have to pay for towing, labor and parts to repair shops I'm pretty sure this time it's the same problem I just hadn't had it towed to a repair shop today yet since it just happen I search to see if my car had a recall on this problem hadn't seen one yet.
Passenger airbag warning light illuminated. Took car to Ford dealership who diagnosed it as a sensor problem, and if not repaired could prevent the airbag from deploying. I have owned many cars and this is the first time, I've ever had a problem like this. After researching online, I saw there were numerous complaints for the same problem. Is the NHTSA aware of these safety hazards and should a recall be implemented?.
While driving, a wrench appeared on the instrument panel. When I looked it up, it was regarding the throttle transmission actuator. My car was losing power, bucking, and seemed like it was having issues changing speeds. I have researched this issue and found that Ford agreed to fix these cars up until January 31, 2015 for free. They did not do a mass recall and I am now going to cll the dealerships to see if I can get it fixed for free.
2007 Mercury Milan premier began running very rough while traveling down a busy county road. The roughnes appeared to increase when the engine was under load. I called my mechanic and was instructed to bring the car by for a computer analysis. Approaching the shop, no more than 4 miles since onset of problem, I began to smell a strong electrical burnining. Upon lifting the car's hood the electrical burning smell was overwhelming and smoke was streaming from the #4 cylinder ignition coil. Carefully removing the coil revealed feet upon feet of unraveling and burning coil wire, along with rubber from the coils spark plug boot smoldering and dripping molten rubber down the hole. . . This could have turned out to be a very dangerous condition. . . If the car had been driven any further, I truly believe an open flame would have broken out. . . I was releaved that my wife or children wern't driving the car at the time. . My mechanic says the pcm computer possibly shorted out and may have damaged the other coils as well. The car will now have to be towed to a Mercury dealer for a very expensive repair. . I was told there is no reacall for this very dangerous condition on a Mercury miilan, however it's sister model, a Ford fusion, does have a recall. This leaves me very frustrated and most likely broke. . .
The dash board where the passenger air bag is starting to turn lose. I'm worried it will make the air bag deploy or become defective.
Battery died in my 2007 Mercury Milan. After replacing the battery the throttle body malfunctioned. Car would not accelerate and check engine light is on.
2007 Mercury Milan came to a complete stop on a 2 lane highway, at a speed of approximately 55 mph in the left hand lane with heavy traffic, no indication of problem to try and even pull over. Towed to garage, was unable to fix. They towed it to a Ford dealership, coils, spark plugs, throttle body and pcm replaced, still would not run. Towed back to original garage. Did a smoke test on catalytic converter and stated 1 has to be replaced (will not pass inspection) but because of the number of "misfires" they strongly recommend replacing all three. After some searching I have found that this is a problem that Ford has not only known about, but stated that they were cooperating fully with the government, however , there was never a recall. I have placed a complaint with NHTSA. I requested a quote to trade the car in, but because of it's present situation they offered me $3400. 00, kelly blue book value is $7000. 00, I still owe $3700. 00 on this vehicle, still have to have catalytic converters replaced and just hope that it runs, and do not even at this time know the amount of repairs this far. I contacted Ford headquarter and they response was first to have it towed again to the Ford dealer. But when I questioned why I would need to pay yet another towing fee, she abruptly stated . "there is nothing we can do because you didn't have it initially diagnosed by Ford. This car poses a potential life and death situation for the consumer.
