I was driving on 495 toward silver spring/georgia Ave. And the call just loss acceleration without warning. The engine and wrench lights illuminated on the dash. The car cruised at about 5 miles an hour. An extremely dangerous situation to say the least. I was in the middle lane and had to work my way over to the shoulder. I'm taking the car to the Ford dealership on 8/23/2016 for diagnosis. There appears to have been complaints reported to NHTSA about this problem and the case was closed without a recall. Let me tell you, this problem is not only real but extremely dangerous. Something more needs to be done.

I brought my 2011 Mercury Milan from sandy springs Ford last year. The vehicle now has 60k miles on it and I am experiencing stalling/acceleration problems which are happening more frequently since the initial fault. When driving my car decelerates and I cannot pick up speed so the car eventually stops. The wrench light came on indicating something was wrong. This happened to me 4 four times since last week (3 times on the highway) and I had to hurry up and pull my vehicle over on the side of the highway as the speed decelerated and before it stopped (dangerous). I took my car to the dealership today and that said that it was a throttle body issue and that Ford has been receiving numerous complaints regarding throttle bodies. I am highly concerned for the safety of myself and others driving these Ford vehicles.

While commuting to work the engine suddenly lost all power while traveling approx 50mph on rt 9a in ossining NY. Fortunately I was in thr right lane but did not have enough time or momentum to completely pull off the road. A state farm sponsored help truck arrived anf pushed me to the side. At my husband's suggestion he looked to see if leaves had clogged the intake/air filter. It did not . Then he disconnected the hose to the throttle valve and when he pushed it with the screwdriver the engine regained power. I turned around to try and meet my husband at a midway point. The engine shut down again but after restarting, it regained power. I switched cars with my husband and he sprayed the throttle valve with carburetor cleaner and headed home. The car stalled out on him but he was able to roll into a gas/convenience store in garrison NY and sprayed it again. Once home in cold spring he cleaned out the assembly as good as he could and the car worked well for the next 2 weeks. While visiting hungary for a family illness, my son used the car and reported that it began to stall out on him but unstuck? and he was able to return home. The car was brought to freedom Ford in beacon NY this morning for repair since it is not safe to drive in nyc commuter traffic.
