2 Lose Power Steering problem of the 2000 Mercury Mountaineer

Failure Date: 01/08/2007

My drive to work is ~ 14 miles, on 1/8/2007 while pulling into a parking space (traveling at a very low rate of speed) my vehicle lost power steering. I actually thought the vehicle stalled, but after coming to a stop I pressed the gas pedal and the vehicle was still running, the power steering came back, I turned the steering wheel all the way left and then right a number of times. I see a similar complaint (odi id number: 10038075), this hasn't happened since.
