The vehicle stalls in drive without warning. The dealership has been unable to determine and fix the problem.
Smoke coming from turn signal when being used. Happens only when you are turning left. Back windshield wiper works for a few weeks then needs motor to be replaced. Stereo lights quite working will come on only if you are driving in the rain.
Loss of a/c ,found wiring harness chaffing on oil filter space guard due to poor routing of harness. Many other wires run through that can cause loss of engine and other failures.
Lcd display on stereo/clock only works occasionally most of the time there is not a time display available. And we have various gauges that will not work and then will work for a brief time and then again stop working.
The display on the premium factory radio does not function properly. Illuminated digits of the display panel may work intermittently or not work at all. All other functions of the radio seem to work. My research indicates that this has been a problem on radios installed in various Ford motor company products of the 1997-2001 model year range. Ford motor company should make a no-charge repair on these radios.

Airbag light comes on, flashes goes off, comes back on. Dealer recognizes problem and has designed a robust electrical harness replacement but refuses to cover costs. This re-desing of the electrical system for the proper functioning of the airbag restraint systems was first recognized by the manufacturer in 1999, the date of the vehicle. The NHTSA bulletin number is sb610933. Please help!!! this is a serious safety issue and concern for not only myself but the saftey of my children.
Electrical line routes over powersteering line had rubbed against each other, causing a hole and a short, resulting in a fire. The electrical wire involved was the hot wire cable running from the battery to the starter. The sparks created also ignited the power steering fluid that was leaking. Yh.
