One problem related to transmission fluid leaking has been reported for the 1998 Mercury Mystique. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The vehicle experienced problems with it's air bags. The vehicle' also leaked fluid at the transmission joint. The vehicle leaked 2 1/2 qts of transmission fluid in approximately 3 weeks. Since the vehicle was no longer under warranty the dealer refused to assist the consumer.
