The car has been in the dealership service dept more than I seem to have it. . For many different problems. Needed a new engine at 23k,airconditioner broken at 24k,the car shakes and vibrates had it in the shop many times still shakes! rotors are pulsing again had them turned twice already, needs to go in this Aug for a peeling clearcoat correction on the passenger side 2 days to paint. . And the car only has 26k help! and Ford has ben terrible with dealing with problems and never provides loaners even when they had my car for 3 weeks!.
The left front power seat base twists and rocks on its supports. This defect occurred within three months after purchase, the dealer is now installing part #xs2z5461711aa for the third time. I am concerned that if these seat supports fail this easily, how well will they perform in a crash? in addition, if these continually fail, a stronger brace should be installed, not the same part over and over. In reference to my second problem noted, the brakes shuddered within the first month of ownership. (1/99) the dealer cut the rotors and the problem reappeared soon after. Again I returned the vehicle to the dealer, he informed me that the rotors are not covered under the basic new vehicle warranty. My concern is as follows: if the rotors are warped from the date of purchase, shouldn't the dealer replace them? nonetheless, I recently replaced the front rotors and pads at a sts tire store.
Warped front brake rotors, causing brakes to vibrate upon application.
