: the contact stated while traveling various speeds, the overdrive activated on and off. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop, where a certified mechanic determined that either the inside or outside sensor of the automatic transmission was faulty. There was a NHTSA recall #98v233000, regarding the powertrain: automatic transmission: lever and linkage: floor shift. The manufacturer was contacted and determined that the vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. Also, the clock light on the insrument panel went permanently out. The rear brake light located on top of the rear window would illuminate in a distorted pattern. The rear brake lights was made up of 9 Mini lights, and 3 lights would light up while braking. On other occasions, 4 or 5 lights would illuminate. There was a NHTSA recall #99v103000 regarding exterior lighting: headlights: switch. The vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN.

: the contact stated the headlight switch for the vehicle was defective and the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA recall #99v103000 regarding exterior lighting:headlights:switch due to the VIN. The vehicle had not been to a service dealer to resolve the issue.
Consumer stated the tail lights and interior lights did not work. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, and was told there was a recall # 99v103000 concerning headlight switch/wiring harness defect. But because of the mileage on the vehicle it could not be repaired under the recall. She wanted to know why, she did not think this was fair. Consumer spoke with three other mechanics whom stated the mileage shouldn't have anything to do with the recall.
Consumer had received recall 99v703000 notice before on wiring harness failure that afected headlights. Problem had happened again. But, dealer refused to repair, and consumer had received a notice on brakes as well.
Due to recall notice #99v1030000 consumer took vehicle for appointment, but notice that the vehicle remained parked in the same location sense delivery. However, the mechanic informed owner that the repair would take 20 to 45 min. The owner took the vehicle home & checked under hood and notice no repair had been done. Owner not satisfied.
Received recall notice 399v103000. Contacted dealer. Took vehicle to dealer for repairs on date given. The remedy failed. Have no taillights. The right taillight would flash on/off on its own. Had no problem until recall repairs were done.
Connector in harness to head lamp switch failed prior to recall notice 99v-103. Nlm.
Switch is so poorly made. The contacts(where it plugs into the wire harness) don't make good contact and as a result the switch gets hot and melts the plastic. It was replaced by the factory during a recall 8/06/99 and has failed again. The defective parts are still being used!.
Consumer is disappointed with the number (6) of recalls that have been issued on this vehicle. Nlm.
Vehicle was repaired under recall 99v103. Later, one of the tail lights and signal lights became inoperable.
Consumer contacted dealer in reference to NHTSA recalls 00v075000 and 99v103000/ manufacturer's recalls 99s14 and 00203 concerning abs brakes and headlight switch wiring. Dealer refused to correct the recall problems. Please provide any further details.
