On Friday, February 27th, 2015 at approximately 9:30am, I was involved in a car accident on a major interstate. The incident involved two vehicles, mine and another 4 door car. I ended up hitting the person in front of me going approximately 74 mph, no one was seriously injured, however no airbags deployed. Upon further investigation, two local mechanics who are evaluating the car have stated that they cannot understand why the airbags did not deploy, for the sensors were activated, and the airbags should have came out.

My daughter was driving my 2000 Mercury Sable around a curve to the left when the rear of the vehicle began to slide to the left causing her to loose control and strike 2 guard rails,2 vehicles traveling in the opposite direction and then head-on into a stone retaining wall. Vehicle was severely damage and my daughter suffered a minor head injury. The airbags did not deploy even after striking the wall head-on. We are concerned that the rear coil springs were defective, rusted and may have cause her to loose control and the rear-end of the vehicle to slide to the left. 1 week prior to vehicle crash/incident, the rear end of the vehicle slid to the left on dry pavement while turning to the right. Vehicle tires were fairly new and in good condition. Please review the 2000 Mercury Sable for defects in the rear coil springs and the airbag deployment failure.

and numbing in my hands and feet due to injuries. I am diagnosed with sprained ligaments and whiplash and luckily no breaks. I have advanced degenrative cervical disease in my neck which now makes the pain unbearable since the crash! it's only been several days but the issue of the airbag is really bothering me! I was driving my car at about 20 miles an hour and I felt a vibration. I made a decision to pull the car over and get off the roadway and stop. When I tried to use my brake I felt the resistance half way down and then it suddenly went all the way to the floor. I saw myself gaining on the car in front of me. I quickly turned to the right and up on the sidewalk hitting the curb in the process and then instead of hitting a store wall I turned slightly to the left and headed dead center for an edison pole. I could have killed someone. I need to talk to someone who can tell me who to get to look into my brake system to see what went wrong. I am so scared to ever drive that car again. My car is only 5 years old and in excellent condition and maintained well. Never had any hint that my brakes were faulty. My car has been looked at and he said the body can be fixed. He doesn't know about the brakes. I need an expert to look at those brakes. Can you help me???? my air bags did not deploy.
