Battery Problems of Mercury Sable

Vehicle shuts down at highway speed without warning. Dealer was not able to duplicate the problem. The theft light came on as well as the abs light when the vehicle shut off. The consumer was told the idler air control was bad and had to be replaced. When the vehicle stalled for the third time, the abs light did not illuminate, but the battery light along with other lights which displayed pictures did illuminate. The dealer had no idea what the problem was.

While driving brakes proceeded to the floor and the vehicle surged forward. As a result, driver had to put the vehicle into neutral. Dealer stated theat battery voltage was low.

This problem has happened over and over again. They fix it and it still keeps on breaking down. Driver door won't lock, roof light stays on, panel light indicating all doors are open stays lit. Then it goes off and then on. Its a continous thing that happens. Yesterday. 11-28-01 it would not start. I bought a new battery and sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. Do I qualify to get a loaner vehicle until they find out what is wrong with it. They don't seem to have any answers yet. My vehicle is paid off since of last month. Erlinda l. Picazo.

While sitting at a traffic light, the vehicle went completely dead, the vehicle was towed to the delership where it was determined that the battery needed to be replaced.

Engine light would come on & then go off on its own while driving. Door/ dome & floor lights would remain on at same time. Do not go out. Ran down battery. Have taken to dealership.

This vehicle has had emission, mechanical, and electrical problems . This is primarily emission issues between the check engine's and the gas tank.

The battery was inexplicably drained 6 weeks after we purchased the car. Two days ago, the car slipped into neutral without warning whenever I turned or slowed down. Now, it slips into neutral all of the time.

The vehicle is experiencing an electrical problem, the radio has been replaced 2 times because of a short, the battery is draining causing the vehicle to be inoperable.

When emergency parking brakes are engaged the rear brake lights come on and stay on. This results in the battery dying out.

Upon driving during rain or damp weather steering wheel locks, the battery light flashes and the fan belt makes noise. Yh.
