Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Mitsubishi ecplise. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number:15v337000 (brakes system) however, the part to do the repairs was unavailable. The contract stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of this failure. The contact also states there's an abnormal squeaking noise when applying the brakes. Ng.
I had to make a hard stop due to a deer jumping out in front of me. After that my brakes were spongy and not smooth while braking to a stop. I would almost have to press all the way to the floor board to stop. There is also a squeak noise when I release the brake pedal. Every time I took it to a mechanic they could not find anything wrong with it. While looking online I found many people with the same exact description of this issue with no real solution.
