My airbags released while driving on the highway. My safety was definitely at risk. My vehicle was inspected by the police on site and my car will also be inspected by the adjuster on my insurance claim. There were no prior warning signs on the car prior to the situation and I was told the vehicle was in great condition when I purchased it second hand.

Shannon bell private dealer is selling this car with a unrepairable cv axel. I purchased it and di my home work he rolled the miles back. He's falsely advertising it as clean tie and 190 something miles. That's even less then when I had it. Air bag lights are on and he unplugged the wires along with seatbelt so the lights don't show.

On a long commute, I began hearing a scaping sounds as I maneuvered the steering wheel. As time paseed it became louder and I noticed a wire sticking out between the steering wheel and the mount. It continued to become more and more undone. I also noticed my srs light is on. The light for the anti skid protection was showing both on and off, then eventually went out completely. Finally towards the end of my drive I was making a right hand turn and it accelerated for one second absent of my command to do so.

My car started showing the srs light three weeks ago. I waited if it will go off by itself but never did. I bought it in 2014 at the auction but later to discover some issue on it,the front manifold is broken:I was able to fix that. The ac condenser is not in the car which I ve not fix:I guest that could be result of accident from the last user. It has braking issue:I was able to fix that. The engine give ratling noise doing cold start and the the transmission shift forcefully.
I was completely stopped, waiting to make a left turn when a car barrelled up behind me and hit me from behind. The impact caused my car to be thrown into the lane of oncoming traffic, and another car hit me head-on. My car was being tossed around like a tin can. When it finally came to a stop, the steering wheel was trying to deploy the airbag, but it never inflated. But, smoke and fumes were coming from the steering wheel. I thought it was about to explode or catch on fire.
I have had repeated incidents where my horn will sound during the night, and if I was using it as a warning to another driver. I have had it checked several times, and I was finally told that the airbag is probably what is causing the problem. Now my horn doesn't sound at all and this poses a safety hazard to me, my children and any other passengers as well as other drivers and pedestrians.

The dashboard that holds in the passenger airbag has come unglued from the frame on the dashboard. Also the side view mirrors are not very stable and have been shaking and the passenger side view mirror has just broke off from driving and turning onto other roads that have slight dip. The door handles have turned brittle and when we opened the door it just broke off.

Good morning, I purchased my 2005 Mitsubishi Galant ES in June or July of 2005 with approximately 1,400 miles and for the pasted few weeks i¿ve notice the passenger air bag is rising/separating more and more of the dashboard exactly above the glove compartment silver trimming. I contact the Mitsubishi dealer (866-346-0796) on sept. 10, 2013 where I my purchased the vehicle and explained to them in detail the problem with the passenger air bag. The service writer asked for the last eight digit of the vehicle VIN # which I provided. The service writer pulled up the history in his computer and advised me that the car was out of warranty and there is nothing they can do about. I was very surprised by his answer and told him I will contact Mitsubishi corp. Office to find a resolution to this problem before it get worst. And for the record I've previously owned two montero Mitsubishi SUV.

I recently purchased a vehicle from a local dealership, I later found out that the airbag system has been disabled. The dealer showed me a fake carfax and repeatedly, infront of three different people, told me the vehicle was never in an accident. I have researched and found that a dealer must have me sign something stating the airbag system has be disabled. I tried many times to return vehicle but they refuse. I have turned it into the attorney general and am waiting a response. They suggested I also report it to the NHTSA.
I have a 2002 mitsibushi Galant ES and I was involved in a wreck involving 3 autos and I hit the back end of the second car, crushing the grill in toward the radiator, and neither of the airbags deployed. And this was a hard impact. These are put into an automobile to be a safety feature and they failed to work.

My car was struck at a 45 degree angle on the passenger side door by a Ford explorer traveling at approximately 60 mph. None of the airbags deployed and I was thrown around the vehicle as I was not restrained at the time (I had returned to the car to get information from the glove compartment). The car was declared a total loss as a result of the impact and I suffered injuries to my neck, arm, and leg.
A truck dropped some boxes on the freeway. A car stopped suddenly to avoid the boxes, another car hit them, finally we hit that car. It was a 3 car pileup. I was driving and my wife was in the passenger seat. We were the last car in the line and hit at about 45+ mph. We were in a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant with only 78k miles and we were both wearing our seatbelts. Neither airbag deployed! it was a direct hit right in the front of our car at over 45 mph. Now my wife may have permanent back pain. I can get the VIN number if you need it. I just dont have access to it today.

2001 Mitsubishi Galant LS v6 with 30,000 miles. Has been in shop over 5 times. Has been towed into shop once for not starting due to fuel injection problems. Was diagnosed with defective side and passenger airbags, anti lock braking system. Has serious steering vibration when driving. Dealer told us it was only the tires and they overinflated my tires to solve the problem. Problem has continued and has been occurring since vehicle had 15,000 miles and tires were properly rotated and balanced. Concerned that vehicle poses serious safety hazards.
Me and my wife were driving about 45 miles an hour when the rear end of my car started sliding I try to correct the fish tale but the driver rear tire and rim folded under the car which cause the car to flip several times no airbags deployed the car was so crushed I had to dig down into the ditch to free myself from the car upon taking a closer look I realized the sway bar had pulled apart from both sides of the rear of the car also the main support of the rear suspension had broken in too therefore causing the car to flip we could have easily died in this crash and 2 year old and our 6 month old would have no parents.
