When she tried to stop the vehicle by pumping the brakes they did not work, she could not turn the ignition off. The contact stated that after the repairs had been made it would accelerate or decelerate on its own. The contact was afraid and did not want the vehicle anymore. I own a green 99 Mitsubishi Galant and the clear coat is coming off causing my car to look like it has alligator skin it started on the roof and has now spread to the trunk and hood. I called Mitsubishi to see if they had any complains about the paint and I was told no. The operator then asked what state I live in and when I told her that I live in texas, she told me that I should have expected to have paint problems with my vehicle because the texas sun is so harsh. I have also been involved in 3 accidents in the vehicle and my airbags have never deployed. I also have a problem keeping wheel cover on all it takes is a slight bump in the road and off they come. This year model also has major problems with the rotors warping.

2002 Galant sustained head-on collision at apx. 45mph. (galant was stopped and another car ran a stop sign and slammed into the front of it) and the airbags did not deploy. This was mentioned to the repair shop and I was told that the impact was not "severe enough", which I found very hard to believe. I was in a serious accident on March 17 2003. My car was totaled in the accident. The entire front of the car was caved in. The problem was, the air bags did not deploy in the accident like they were supposed to. The type of vehicle was a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES. I was going approximately 45 miles per hour. The shuttle bus that hit me pulled out in front of me and we collided. I am really upset but thank god I had my seat belt on. I tried contacting the Mitsubishi company but they declined to speak to me and gave the run around. If there is anyway I can get help with this matter I would really appreciate it. Thanks . Chris alexander.
