When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, it operated normally. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. A new transmission was ordered. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified. The failure mileage was unknown.
