Windshield Problems of Mitsubishi Galant

The heater control valve began making clicking noises about a month ago in my 2003 Mitsubishi Galant v6 LS. The car has only 59,000 miles on it. Then this morning with outside temperate of 41 degrees here in minneapolis the heat would not turn on. The heater control valve is now stuck in the cold mode. I had to drive my 2 year old to day care in a cold car. The replacement cost by the dealer is $1000. The internet finding shows most Galant owners have had failed heater control valve. This can put drivers in unsafe situations because we can not defrost the windshield when its cold outside.

For a while the ac and heater fan has been making a "rubbing" sound within the dashboard in my 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. A few months later, the heat in the car had totally stopped working. As it gets colder outside, the windshield fogs and without heat, there is no way to defrost it causing inability to see clearly through the windshield. This problem can obviously lead to car accidents. The part has not yet been replaced but is currently being looked into.

Windshiled fogged up and there was poor visibility. Consumer has been trying to get answers from the dealer, but there was no response. Consumer called manufacturer, and was told there was solution that was sprayed on the seal before the windshield was put in. When the heat hit it, the windshield fogged up. Nothing could be done to remedy the problem.

The rear passenger window, inside door panel water gets caught inside and causes wires to blow up and cause a fire, putting peoples lives at risk !.

My 1996 Mitsubishi Galant had several problems including, brake pads had to be changed more than usual, transmission completely failed while parked. In addition, the windows /windshield were constantly foggy. The start key could only be taking out by pressing the break. I had problems with the power locks, they will not open, leaks from the sunroof. The horn completely stopped working after three years. The Mitsubishi dealer never issued a ball joint recall which I now found out was defective with the car and after returning my vehicle upon my lease termination they are requesting 1000 + dollars for wear and tear etc. The dealer has not properly followed guidelines and are been sued because of these failures and the customers who purchased these cars are been charged more money by the dealer.

Thw windows failed. Nlm.

Windows fog up even when defroster is on. Dealer has inspected vehicle.

When windshield was hit bye a little tar pellet from a short distance entire windshield started cracking badly.
