I have a 09 Lancer I had the brake recall done a month later I was driving to work just got off the expressway was on a side street doing 30 miles per hour the speed limit the brakes failed causing me to rearend another car I am injured and in therapy also none of the air bags went off there is over $6000 dollars in damage on just my car.

The contact owns a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer. The brake pedal does not work properly during deceleration. While driving 10 mph, the contact turned into a driveway to park the vehicle and the brakes failed. The vehicle would not stop and crashed into a building. A police report was failed. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop, but they had not provided any information as to the cause of the failure. The failure and current mileages were 1,700. Updated 06/09/08.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer. Brakes failed twice. The consumer took the vehicle to the Mitsubishi service dealer twice. The dealer indicated that they could not find the cause of the problem. The consumer took the vehicle to an independent mechanic four times, but they could not fix the problem. It was finally determined that the push rod was incorrectly specified. The mechanic told the consumer that basically the wrong part was put on the vehicle. It had the wrong brakes installed. This problem was listed in service bulletin number 0235003. Consumer was involved in two accidents because of defective brakes. There was a vibration in between the steering wheel and the tire axle. This only occured when consumer pushed on the brakes. The accidents were reported to the insurance company.
