Brake Disc Rotor problems of the 1997 Mitsubishi Montero

Two problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 1997 Mitsubishi Montero. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 12/01/1997

Abs brake problems; during normal braking, no inclement weather, when the brakes were applied the truck would pulsate very badly. The front rotors were resurfaced on December 31, 1997 at 4462 miles. At 7600 miles on Mar 10, 1997, both rotors were replaced because of warping. Rotors are being replaced every 3 thousand miles. The problem still exists.

2 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Front and rear brake rotors are prematurely warping due to excessive hea. , dealer cannot identify why overheating occurs. Also, when applying brakes, brake lines leaked fluid, causing vehicle to vibrate and fade, resulting in extended stopping distance prior to/after recall repairs. Please give any further details.
