One problem related to brake master cylinder has been reported for the 1997 Mitsubishi Montero. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brake pedal goes to floor. Regular brakes would fail to work whenever pedal is depressed. Took to mechanic, and had master cylinder replaced, and brakes bled. Problem still exists.
