Automatic Emergency Braking Problems of Mitsubishi Outlander

Automatic emergency breaking sometimes occurs while driving in rainy weather even when there are no obstructions in the front of the vehicle. This causes spinouts and exccessive wear and tear on break pads and rotors. Also, many shops and dealerships are having issues with putting 2022 year model Outlanders in "maintenance mode" to be able to change rear ebs brakes. Due to this you cannot drive your vehicle and/or rish not having proper break functions. This is urgent!!!.

The brakes keep giving out, this is the second Mitsubishi and the brakes gave out smh.

The electric parking break was stuck and alarm going off. Only used ebrake maybe 5 times in the years I have had my car. This time was I used it while parked on a hill. The ebrake would not disengage properly. Dealer says need a new one, even though the electric parking brake now engages and releases ok, just the alarm won't go off. Then I learned that there was a recall for the 2016 Outlanders for the parking brake not engaging/disengaging properly. Why is there not a recall for the 2017 Outlanders with this problem?.

As I was parking the parking sensors didn’t engage to say I was too close to another vehicle causing me to side swipe the other vehicle! I thought it was just me but still 4 days later anytime I park the sensors don’t alert me as being too close! the forward and reverse emergency brake system is not engaging as it used to do!.

The aeb and fcw turns on suddenly then seems like the car is shutting off while driving.

E brake will not disengage.

The sensors will go off for a collision when no cars are around. The automatic emergency break will break when not close to any cars.

I was driving approximately 35mph on a 4-lane road with no vehicles in front of me. The car came to a hard stop. The stop was so hard that my purse flew from the passenger seat to the floor. I was wearing my seat belt which tightened up but my body still moved forward causing me neck pain. I did notice briefly that a flashing yellow light was on the dashboard. There were no objects in front of me. The driver of the car behind me had to slam on their brakes and almost hit my car. My car stayed still for about 15 seconds and then the automatic brake was released.

This car has been a problem child since day one. Yesterday I was driving on the highway normally and out of nowhere received a warning on my dashboard about all of these malfunctions and that my abs, 4wd system, collision system, etc was malfunctioned and turned off. This was followed by a quick sudden jolt of my car. It stayed on throughout the remainder of the day and then all of the alerts disappeared once I turned off my car and back on later that day. Although the alerts turned off… it is still very concerning to me.

Bought new 2022 Outlander for daughter because of safety features. She wasn't paying attention and got into a very standard rear end collision with air bags going off. The frontal collision system did not give a warning signal and did not do any emergency braking. The system was not turned off by us.

Hood flutters.

5/14/2021 vehicle parked on a hill 45 minutes before it began to roll and flipped over. Car was in park and emergency break was engaged during the time of the incident. This is a hazard and could cause great bodily harm or death. I have children and they could have been in the car at the time of the malfunction . The vehicle was inspected by a police officer who confirmed the vehicle emergency break malfunctioned releasing the car down the hill. The car would jump when you breaking, but no warning lights were on before the incident.

The epb (emergency parking break) was some how activated, not sure if by accident or wiring issue and now will not disengage. I cannot drive my vehicle and have not been able to get it into the dealer for 3 weeks.
