The contact owns a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. The contact stated while driving 20 mph, the check engine and the asc warning light were illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to exceed 10 mph. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven to a nearby independent mechanic. The independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the pcm needed to be updated. The contact stated that the failure was related to TSB number: 13?13?008. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at her own expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 110,400.

Brought vehicle in for recall repair for the software update. The update failed and also caused the tcm module to fail. Its been over a week since I last had my vehicle and the service shop is still waiting for the replacement modules which is on "backorder".

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stationary, the transmission service required warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to napleton Mitsubishi (3508 e. Division st. Springfield, mo 65802, 888-489-98030) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 16v563000 (power train) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Regular use. Wiring connection to automatic shifter control has broken. Shifter has to be replaced. Automatic drive lights don't work (drive, reverse, neutral, etc. ) and manual shifter fails to work. No longer safe to drive without repairs.
