On the freeway transmission failure service light came on and the cars acceleration geared, had to immediately pull over on the side of the freeway, restarted the car with emergency lights to get out of the freeway. Vehicle would not accelerate much and the rpm was switching fast up and down. Check engine light came on the next day and the diagnosis read catalytic converter needs replacement. Car does not accelerate on hills, its shifts and tugs on a regular road.

2 Transmission Failure problem of the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander

Transmission issues/ failure at 116,000 miles with known issues from others online with the same issue/failure and replacement for �specialty� cvt transmission unreasonably prices to replace. These transmission issues are not discussed at point of sale (which is the responsibility of salesman) but also no disclosure from Mitsubishi. These transmissions should not fail so soon. When driving issues when shifting not as normal and there is no warning light that engages until right before your transmission fails. It is not safe!.

3 Transmission Failure problem of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander

Failure Date: 08/12/2020

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while driving at various speed the vehicle hesitated to accelerate properly as the gear became default to change. No warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer hertrich Buick GMC 26953 sussex hwy, seaford, DE 19973 where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle is not drivable. The contact mentioned NHTSA campaign number: 16v563000 power train as a possible solution to the failure however the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not contacted from the contact but from the dealer who indicated to the contact that no recalls was under the VIN. The failure mileage 90,000. Ck.
