The clutch sticks to the floor making it hard to shift. You have to pull it up with your foot. Some say these cars were manufactured with a poor designed slave cylinder. The clutch sticks where ever you are driving sometimes it will start back to working properly for a while. I have taken it to a Nissan dealer twice, it will operate properly for a few weeks then start to sticking to the floor again. The date below reflect the most recent time or last time for the clutch failure. 11/11/16.

***Nissan 2013 370z (mt) clutch slave cylinder *** purchase brand new. In March of 2013, just 2k miles the slave cylinder failed. Replaced under warranty. On 6/17/2016, I was driving on the freeway, my clutch failed during traffic hours on the 60 east fwy. I could not shift the gear to get to lower or higher gear. Thank god I was able to get on the shoulder lane to stop safely. This happened at 3,100 miles. Yes, just after my factory warranty had just expired. Csc is not covered under powertrain warranty but Nissan has agreed to fully pay for the second replacement. This is clearly a safety issue and can cause bodily harm when driving and clutch fails. Also I belong to a Nissan social community forums and there are many have had the same issue. This should be a recall. Be safe out there.

This is the second major incident I've had with the transmission in my car. The first one was under warranty and the dealership replaced the entire transmission. Just yesterday and today, it feels like the clutch is failing once again. I haven't taken it in to Nissan yet, but the issues sound a lot like the dreaded csc (clutch slave cylinder) failure the Nissan refuses to recall. It's a truly problematic, expensive and life threatening issue. At best, the clutch sticks to the floor and you can't shift it into 1st gear. At worst, it happens while you're driving at highway speeds. Also, before it fails completely, the engagement point of the clutch changes drastically. The car has lunged forward because it just suddenly decides to engage the clutch. This is dangerous Nissan and absolutely abhorrent that it hasn't been resolved, failure after failure after failure. The dealerships knowingly keep a few of this part in stock, knowing it's common. 370z owners have had enough of this!.
