4 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 07/08/2019

I bought a 2013 Nissan Altima in 2017. 4 months after the purchase with only 65,000 miles the car stalled in the middle of the highway with my children in it. I was able to get it restarted and the next day while working the transmission gave out in the middle of a parking lot. The cvt transmission was replaced at the Nissan dealership. Now 65,000 miles later the new cvt transmission died while I had a youth client in my car for work. This is extremely unsafe for a transmission to fail at the drop of a hat in the middle of the road. There is currently a class action suit against Nissan due to this issue. This is effecting my work and is not a reliable car. This needs to be recalled. Also the air compressor is an issue as well. This also needs recalled. There are hundreds of people who are experiencing these issues. What if the car would stop in the middle of a road and someone would hit me while I am with my children or a client? this needs to be looked into please. Because Nissan is refusing to help me at all for this second transmission that is only 2 years old!!!!.

The car was stuck in the middle of the street creating an unsafe position. We took the car to autozone after it would go into gear again and they pulled a diagnostic code of p0776. The code is transmission related. The car was driven on city streets that night.

11 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 09/22/2018

In 2017 Nissan has me come in for a cvt transmission upgrade. After the work was done at the Nissan of cool springs and I left the dealership I noticed that the car was running rough, shaking, and jolting when I accelerated. I immediately called dealership and asked to have a tech drive the car to explain the problem. The tech got in, rode off, came back and said it was all running fine. I accepted that and assumed it was only a momentary problem. I got back in my car and it was still doing it. I came back and asked the tech to ride with me. It did it with him in the car and he told me that the car had to "adapt to my driving style. " 2018, at 48,000 miles the car started to stall on me when it was idle. It would start right back up, but turn off when I put it back in drive. Took it back to the Nissan of cool springs dealership but they did not find any error code and told me everything is working fine and charged me around $160. I also told them this has happened with in the past 2-3 time. But at that time I was not aware of the cvt issues. Recently it happened when I stopped for refuelling my car. I was fortunate enough that it did not happen on the highways.

12 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 06/05/2018

While driving home from work the car shuttered and cut off after having stopped for a light. This happened when I press the exhilarator to continue on. I put the car in park applied my foot to the break and restarted the car. Every time I would drive to put the car in gear it would cut off. It kept doing this over and over. Local police came and with the help of a good samaritan pushed my car off the road to a safe place. I had to have my car towed to the dealer where they were unable to duplicate the problem and said that the diagnostic computer test did not show any codes for the problem. They ended up updating the transmission module and said they hoped this would fix the problem. The problem continues to occur and I have had to avoid stopping at lights due to the car wanting to cut off. This seems to be a problem that other Nissan car owners are also facing. This is a very dangerous situation to be in due to the fact that you never know when you will be stranded in the middle of a street whether it be interstate stop and go traffic or normal city street traffic. Once the car stalls it's no way to start it and put it in gear to drive without it stalling again and again. Nissan owners need a recall.

13 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2018

As I was driving my 2013 Nissan Altima with 35k miles on it, I came to a stoplight at a busy intersection and my car cut off completely without any indication that something was wrong. I was not able to put my foot on the brakes, I could not move my steering wheel, it just cut off. I was able to cut my car back on, however whenever I shifted my gear into drive it cut off again. I had my car towed to the Nissan dealership, and they stated they could not find the issue but reprogrammed my cvt since there was a recall issued for my car. They determined that after driving it for 25 minutes that day and 25 minutes the next that the cvt reprogramming could have been the solution to the problem but to return it to the dealer if it happened again. 3 days later my car began shaking and stalling very roughly while in motion and again cut off in the middle of the road while in drive. This time my young son was in the car with me, and him and I could have both been harmed or caused an accident and harmed someone else. This is unacceptable that Nissan has not recalled these vehicles or the car has been returned to customers without a solution to the problem.

Received car back and car did the same thing, took it to a different Nissan dealership that said they have heard of same complaints but they have had my car for 5 days and claim to not be able to duplicate the problem. While driving at slow speeds the car begins to lurch and then stalls. This has happened 3 times in the past two days. In addition, when you stop at a redlight and then start to go at the green light the car stalls. This happened last night and we were almost hit by the car behind us. The car stalled at the light so we had to put the car in park, then put your foot on the brake to start the car, and then put in drive. The car lunged forward but stalled again in the middle of a intersection. We repeated the start up process and the car drove home. This morning the same thing happened again. We called Nissan and they advised there are no recalls for this. This car is simply not safe to drive in this state. We dropped the car off at a dealer this morning. I am providing this information because many others have as well. Our car just went over 36000 miles.

27 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 10/25/2013

I purchased my 2013 Nissan Altima 3. 5sl one week earlier. As I was driving I noticed that when I began to accelerate and get to 20-40 mph the car would jerk violently as if my car was in the wrong gear. I took my car into the dealership and they did a software update on the transmission and kept my car for 4 days. They put 75 miles on my car to "ensure" they corrected the problem. I picked up my car on the 4th day and drove 2 miles from the dealership and encountered the same jerking and shuddering problem. I turned around and went back to the dealership where I was greeted by a service manager that insisted we go for a drive to see if he could experience what I was talking about. After taking the ride he explained that he did feel the jerking and shuddering but it is within normal limits. I was told to contact Nissan USA and make a complaint but the dealership really does not want to do anything further to correct the issue unless they are contacted by corporate. I do not feel safe in this car!!! I am afraid this car is going to stall on me at the worse possible time.

Safety concern, proper operation of air bags (srs light on). This is a major safety concern. One month after purchasing a brand new Nissan Altima 2013, a major lite indicator came on. This lite brought up concerns. Are the air bags working properly? will the air bags deploy correctly upon impact? are the air bags working at all? will the air bags deploy while driving? will the air bags implode and affect the steering process? is this an indication that there is an electronic or electrical circuit malfunction? after buying a brand new vehicle, should I even have to deal with these issues, questions or concerns? in addition to the above safety concern, the list of electronic, electrical and mechanical issues continues for the newly bought vehicle. There was an issue with the power steering, the brake system, bubbling paint and concerns with the engine compartment and interior compartment of the above mentioned vehicle. All this is reflected in each of the invoices submitted for your perusal. In addition, upon starting the vehicle, it continuously has a rough idle, a rough start at times the vehicle stalls out. Mr. Garcia is at a loss because who should he take his vehicle with this concern? all in all, mr. Aquino, all these vehicle discrepancies are troubling to have with a brand new Nissan Altima 2013 and all of these issues within the last nine months.
