I am writing to formally request a recall for my 2016 Nissan Altima due to a known issue with the continuously variable transmission (cvt). Recently, my vehicle has exhibited concerning symptoms, including an inability to exceed 20 mph while hitting 3 rpm, and significant hesitation when accelerating, followed by abrupt lunging. Notably, these issues occurred without any prior warning lamps or indicators until recently with the rpm issue. Despite taking my vehicle to Nissan for diagnostic scans, which cost approximately $600, no specific issues were identified. These problems have not been reproduced during dealer inspections or by law enforcement, yet they pose a significant safety risk to myself and others on the road. I would like to qualify for the free recall service to have this issue inspected and resolved by an authorized Nissan dealer. Please provide me with the necessary information to proceed with this request. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I was driving on a 2 lane highway when my car starting bucking and completely went dead. I walked to a station where I got help. After that it happened again and I had to be towed. After having car looked at by 2 mechanics I found out it was the transmission. The mechanic said he was surprised as I didn't even have 70,000 miles on car. It cost me over $5,000 for the transmission and then I came to find out about all the Nissan recalls. I wrote a letter to them and attached articles and my proof of receipt from transmission place, and explained that I am a senior on a fixed income and just wanted the money to cover expenses of what the transmission costs due to their faulty transmissions. They said they could not help me. Also, my sons car came to have the same transmission problem but he got rid of it.

I need help.
The sensor was replaced but the light engine light still came back on now the speed sensor is causing the issue. The abs light comes on while accelerating it jumps and jerks.
I purchased my 2015 Nissan Altima in July, 2022 with 56,530 miles on it. At this date it has approximately 71,500 miles on it. I have driven it 14,970 miles in 2. 5 years. On [xxx] I was driving home from thanksgiving in east brunswick, NJ to my home in south philadelphia on [xxx] in new jersey when my car suddenly began to have a slow down in ability to accelerate. I ended up pulling over after a moment of slowing down and not knowing what was happening. When I got to the break down lane, the car stalled. I ended up getting road side assistance to tow me to ward's automotive in mt. Laurel, NJ, where my family and I have brought cars for many years (we used to live in moorestown, NJ. Ward's ended up telling me the following Monday that my engine was "bad. " I have no idea how my engine died after only 71,500 miles on this car! I got oil changes on it every 5,000 miles. I did report to the dealership in December, 2022 that I was hearing weird noises coming from the right front side but they told me they heard nothing. What can I do??? I am still paying for this vehicle (approx. $3,100 left on loan). I did not purchase an extended warranty when I bought it used. I have learned my lesson, but I need help understanding what rights I have. I don't know if there is any manufacturer's warranty on the car. Please help me! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

My car is said malfunction loss of engine power.
Engine control unit failure.
While driving down the interstate at 70 miles per hour, going up an incline, the car lost all power & then jerked kicking back into gear. Once off the interstate attempting to get to a safe place, it completely shut off without warning! no check engine lights or any warning lights. Just randomly shuts off. After replacing what was assumed as the mass flow air sensor ($186. 00) & the crankshaft sensor ($80) it continues to have issues. The battery (new battery $220) was also replaced & the alternator checked due to randomly shutting off-which checked out to be fine. Come to find out it’s the cvt judder. After reading all the complaints, I’m confused as to why there isn’t a recall or extended warranty on the transmission. My car only has 119k miles! we should not be having issues with these transmission.
After the car warms up it will not accelerate like it should. I was stopped at a light - when I went to turn left at the light my car would not accelerate. It slowly rolled out into oncoming traffic. Like it was in limp mode or something. Then at the last minute the car jolted forward like I had the gas pedal fully depressed. Very scary and unsafe. I’ve had this happen many times. I’ve taken it in but haven’t found a solution.
Unknown.
Vehicle starts fine once the entire engine heats up is when problems start the loss of engine power until engine is able to restart resetting errors this would gradually get worse and the finaly the engine completely stalls out at one moment the computer says it’s the evap then is says cam sensor then the O2 sensor then is said it was the throttle body then at one point it said fuel pump and even told me it was the two upp sensors while trying to start it should start but idling. Vary ruff and severe engine, shaking while idling. Then it refuses to start I need this vehicle investigation for this car and have it applied to this vehicle as well as the symptoms are identical!!!.
