The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle went in to limp mode. In addition, the contact stated that the coolant from the radiator leaked in to the transmission and the transmission failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 132,000.

2 Radiator problem

Failure Date: 02/03/2013

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the transmission failed to shift out of third gear. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostics. The dealer noticed radiator fluid mixing with transmission fluid which caused the transmission to stall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 127,500. Updated 04/30/lj the consumer stated her husband noticed the gears were not shifting properly and soon the check engine light illuminated. The next day, the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer. The inspection revealed the valve body was bad and the radiator was leaking fluid into the transmission. Updated 05/08/13.

3 Radiator problem

Failure Date: 12/12/2012

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, he heard a loud bang and the rear of the vehicle became unstable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician stated that the radiator and transmission would need to be replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that anti-freeze was leaking into the transmission. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

4 Radiator problem

Failure Date: 11/25/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. While parked the contact attempted to place the vehicle into drive but the gear shifter would not move. The vehicle was towed to a transmission shop. The technician stated there were pieces of metal in the transmission line. The technician attempted to un-clog the transmission line but was unable to do so. The technician stated the transmission would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000. . . . . Updated 12/03/12 the consume stated when she made a turn, the vehicle felt as though it was going to stop. When she stopped and looked under the vehicle, she saw a reddish color fluid leaking from the vehicle, the consumer went to the nearest repair shop where she was informed three was a transmission problem. The vehicle was then towed to a transmission shop where they replaced the radiator line which was leaking. When they attempted to replace the transmission fluid, they noticed several holes between the radiator and transmission were clogged. Updated 01/10/12.

5 Radiator problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. The vehicle was taken in for routine maintenance when the contact was informed that the radiator exhibited a hole and would need to be replaced. In addition, the catalytic converter has also failed and would need to be replaced. The dealer informed him there were no recalls and he would have to pay for the repairs.
