The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that the bci (backup collision intervention) malfunction message was displayed on the instrument panel, causing the vehicle stop abruptly. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer and the stop lamp switch was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the stop lamp switch was replaced a second time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 45,768.
