Warnings Problems of Nissan Armada

My emergency breaking will come on and almost stop my vehicle driving down the road with no one near me. It’s very scary and it happens frequently. I will put my most recent incident below.

Bci malfunction indication comes on while driving and the car intermittently doesn’t start. According to Nissan this issue has caused recalls but my vehicle is not listed with any recalls. It is causing safety concerns while driving, as well as caused me to be stuck places sometime for hours at a time due to the vehicle not starting. I have taken it to the shop and they have been unable to recreate this issues as it typically happens while driving and then once it doesn’t start the proper way for a full day it starts just fine.

On occasional engine startup infortainment screen is blank and you have no backup camera, bluetooth, navigation or other safety apps.

My car has had to be repaired three times because of a bci malfunction. This is a part the is controlled by the brake pedal. The car will not crank and the acc issues occur. When the bci malfunction occurs, the car will refuse to start, will malfunction while you are driving and the car loses the ability to break and/or control the speed. I have had the part replaced three times and it continues to act up. Nissan is aware of this issue because I had a 2019 Armada that did the same thing. I have had the vehicle repaired three times. The part/repair will last 12-13 months or 18-20,000 miles before malfunctioning again. I have multiple videos of the car doing this. I have serviced at the dealership. I spoke with two different dealerships and the service managers both stated that they have never seen this part have to be repaired so much and don't know why it is not lasting. This vehicle has become a safety hazard to me, my children, and others on the road. I have contacted Nissan about repurchasing this vehicle. They said I do not meet the GA lemon laws and in fact, I do meet the requirements. At this point, I have started making videos of the malfunctions in the hope that if/when something happens to me, my family has the documentation needed to show that Nissan is at fault for this safety concern and they are aware of this because it also happened on my 2019 Armada.

Bci malfunction warning appeared on dashboard and immediately triggered all of the following lights to appear on dashboard: lane assist, rear collision, front collision, abs, lane assist, 4wd. Within 2 days car then started to apply breaks while trying to pull forward to park. Further escalated same week to applying breaks randomly while driving down the road with no obstructions in any lane. This poses a major safety hazard to all occupants of car along with others on the road as it can cause a collision of this car slows suddenly without warning.

Repeatedly drained battery, and won’t start. Nissan dealership has the worst scheduling system that takes 1 week to get an appointment. Still unknown issue, car turns on, replaced battery worked for one week and then issue appeared again. The Armada drains the battery for no reason. The frontal collision warning comes on while driving even if no car are near and stays on. Car has power but will not start or release the gear to neutral. This has happened on several occasions and then it starts later after a jump. Can’t turn car off or I will get stranded.

12/2/2021 SUV accelerated on its own incident happened in my daughters driveway. SUV is available for inspection I have possession as of 1/22/22 picked up from Nissan dealership. I pulled in the her driveway then I backed up so I would be half on the driveway and half on grass in the event her or her husband needed to leave backed up the car and soon as I put the car in drive the car accelerated on its own. I pushed my foot on the brake pedal as hard as I could would not stop till it hit my daughters car which then shoved her new car through her garage door. A warning message came up on the screen stating sonar malfunction as this was all going on. There was a police report filed that same day. Car was taken to Nissan dealership we were told to leave the car and contact Nissan consumer hotline. I called they said they would assign someone to the case and they would call me. The first contact from the Nissan consumer hotline case manager was1/3/2022. This person was very hard to reach. Called me and stated inspection would be done in a couple weeks she would contact me when she had a date. She calls me the same day they were doing the inspection. Then called me back on 1/21/2022 to inform me the inspection results were in. Stated they could find anything wrong and were unable to duplicate. When I went to pick up my Nissan SUV we were handed a paper from the inspection did not have any details regarding the test. What did they do to come to the conclusion there is nothing wrong? they code is gone that came up when car was accelerating (sonar malfunction) . They told us the car is safe to drive. I have had so much anxiety about driving period since this incident. Since Nissan stated it’s safe to drive my husband said he would we have no choice the day Nissan called back to inform us of that we’re be a scheduled inspection. I called back forgot to ask a few questions . Is the car safe we can drive this was before inspection results no return call.

The forward emergency braking light has been on and off intermittently. The other days while driving on the highway at approximately 55-60 mph the light on the dash suddenly came on and the car applied the brakes by itself coming to a complete stop. There was not another vehicle in front of me and I almost got hit from behind.

The Armada drains the battery for no reason. The frontal collision warning comes on while driving even if no car are near and stays on. Car has power but will not start or release the gear to neutral. This has happen in several occasions and then it starts later on and no code for draining battery was found at dealer. They try to blame it on the trailer brake. I remove it and it still does the same. Trailer brake wiring was done at factory. Car only has 20428 miles.

We have a group of customers must of us have experienced a stop lamp brake light switch gone bad that causes the computer to trow codes abs,tc,collision distance from the car in front ,bci malfunction,dealers are charging Nissan customers to repair this issue $200+.

Bci malfunction earring, shows on the dashboard. This issue occurred since January, the entire system shuts off, pre collision, back up warning, cruise control, and sonar system, all goes off. Moreover, the car would not start, have to push the brakes 3 to 6 time in order to turn the car on. More to that, few time the gear seemed to be stuck on park and wouldn't switch to d or r.
