The rear hatch lock actuator fails in cool temperatures. This leaves the rear hatch unable to open. In the event of an accident or fire, I would be unable to get my children out of the 3rd row seating. This happens each year as soon as the temperatures drop below 50. . Read more...

The rear door on my 2004 Nissan Armada has failed and is keeping me locked out of the vehicle. The problem has been traced to be a faulty door lock actuator, which fails to travel far enough in order to allow the door lock mechanism to open the door. The actuator part information is as follows: 905507s000 0892068-a b/d actr 03 09 26. A google search of this problem on the internet will show anyone that this problem is rampant on all Nissan Armada vehicles, all years, and therefore must be recalled as a safety defect. With this condition, if there was ever a vehicle accident and/or fire, the occupants located inside the vehicle at the back seats would not be allowed to get out of the vehicle with the assistance of others located outside of the vehicle. Under this situation, the passenger/occupants are permanently locked inside of the vehicle. Any accident leading to a vehicle fire, and the occupant would burn to death. To see how common this situation is, do a google search using part number "905507s000" in the search field.

While driving, the following indicator lights came vdc, abs and brake. When I applied the brakes, there was a horrible grinding noise which scared me to death. I continued on cautiously and fortunately it did not make the same sound the next time I braked. The Nissan service department said it was a sensor that went bad and the abs brake system that possibly was bad. I paid over $500 to get it fixed and had to sign an agreement that what they did may not fix it, and if so, the brake booster would then need to be replaced at a cost of $1000. I found out afterwards that there had been a recall of the very same issue but not on my vehicle because the VIN did not match the recall. Very suspect.

An estimate of record was originated at Toyota of north charlotte after the collision. The air bags never deployed before, during or after the collision despite the multiple damages and my minor injury. There has been an on-going airbag diagnostic code that has been monitored during other general maintenance repairs that were completed. It has not been brought to my attention if the vehicle contains a defective air bag system. I am trying to obtain the Nissan part numbers/descriptions for the original airbags within my 2006 Armada. The dealership stated that they were unable to provide this data even though the vehicle was purchased, repaired and inspected at that lake norman-cornelius location.
Rear hatch will not open in cool weather. The rear hatch actuator was replaced in 2011 and every autumn when it starts to get cool, the rear hatch will not unlock and open. We send it to the auto mechanic and they lubricate the mechanism and it will last through most of the winter season. Some winters it will open until spring, sometimes we have to drive it back to the mechanic a second time before the weather gets warm.
My complaint it about the 2006 Armada, the windshield post are to thick, they obstruct your view to much . My wife and child all most lost their life's pulling out of a side road, the windshield post will hide an entire mac truck! I myself noticed it the first time I almost ran over some kids on bikes , we have come close to heaving at least 10 wrecks . I want my money that I paid for this vehicle back because it is not safe I know we are not the only family that is having this problem . You should check in to this for us . I thought their was a limit on how wide the windshield post could be .
