Failure Date: 08/01/2019

2 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 08/16/2011

2004 Nissan Armada. Right exhaust manifold is cracked. Vehicle purchased 08/30/10 with 75,000 miles. At abeloff Nissan in bartonsville, PA. 09/07/2010 for back up sensor and control unit replacement. No other issues cited. 03. 08. 2011, miles: 83696 back at abeloff Nissan for ecm relay safety recall. Inspection done at that time. No exhaust leaks cited. 08/16/2011, miles: 89312, vehicle at local mechanic for state yearly inspection. Right exhaust manifold cracked, looks to have been cracked for a long time. I cannot believe that in 5616 miles, the exhaust manifold is cracking apart. Research online has shown a known problem with the Nissan titan/armada exhaust manifolds. I would like both left and right manifolds replaced by Nissan at no cost.

3 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 06/01/2011

Both exhaust manifolds failed twice. At 40,000 miles and 80,000 miles. Nissan replaced under warranty at 40k with same defective manifolds which failed again at 80k. Nissan offered to replace with same defective parts for a total of $2400. 00. Leaks were discovered till 83k miles. I now own a vehicle that has consistently leaked carbon monoxide into the passeger cabin. My spouse is wondering if this was the cause of my six year old's brain cancer which was diagnosed 4 years ago when the manifolds were leaking for the first time. This vehicle has been her daily driver since new. It seems that Nissan Armada and titan vehicles have exhaust manifolds that fail between 30/40k and Nissan replaces with same defective part.

4 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 10/22/2010

2004 Nissan Armada with cracked manifolds.

5 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 07/29/2010

My wife was driving the 2005 Nissan Armada when it totally shut down. Luckily she was in a parking lot and was able to get out of the lane of traffic. We took it to the dealer, and he advised it was the ipdm and is typical issue with Armada. They replaced but since there were no recalls or service bulletins, I had to pay for the repairs. I'd like to be reimbursed as it appears this is a known issue.

6 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 07/29/2010

The vehicle unexpectedly shut down while I was driving on a highway at 65 mph. The engine shutdown completely but the electrical parts were still functioning. Luckily I was driving at a time when there was no traffic so I was able to coast to the side of the road. I waited for about 5 minutes and tried to re-start the vehicle hoping that I could at least get home. After about 20 minutes and a couple of attempts, the vehicle did start but stalled and shut down again a few blocks from home while I was driving at 35mph. Again I was able to coast to the side of the road and tried to re-start it with no success. At this point I had the vehicle towed. The Nissan dealership changed the ipdm and supposedly fixed the vehicle. I picked it up and after driving only 10 miles, it would not start back up. I took it back to the dealer again and they came back saying that now the catalytic converters had to be replaced and informed me that both the ipdm and catalytic converters were a common issue with the Armada. Sounds to me like a recall should be in place for this. I can only thank god for helping me to stay calm when the vehicle shutdown and that neither my kids or I got into an accident on the freeway. What makes this matter worse is that there was no warning! no engine light or anything to warn you of the failure or danger!.

7 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 05/23/2010

This is in regards to the exhaust manifolds. This is the second time I have had to replace them. The first time they were still under warranty. My 2004 Armada was at 66k miles. The Nissan deal that I took the vehicle too told me that Nissan has problems with their manifolds. They corrected the issue, but almost exactly 66k miles later the manifolds have again cracked. Now I am outside of warranty and required to pay for a replacement that is clearly a defect in the Nissan product. Manifolds should not be going bad after 66k miles.

8 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 05/16/2009

Exhaust manifolds crack causing loss of power and CO intrusion into cabin. Had to replace at own expense. Known problem that Nissan has inconsistently addresses under warranty.

9 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 09/17/2008

For the past two month when starting my vehicle grey smoke comes out of the back of the car. I also have to replace the oil in the car every couple of days.
