One problem related to automatic transmission column shift has been reported for the 1998 Nissan Frontier. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at 55 mph transfer case locked up, causing the rear end to lock up. Vehicle slid out of control, went off the road into a ditch, and hit a fence. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. Dealer has been contacted.
