Transmission Sensor problems of the 1998 Nissan Frontier

1 Transmission Sensor problem

Tl-the contact owns a 1998 Nissan pick up. The contact stated that while trying to put the vehicle in the drive position, from the park position the gear shift became inoperable. The check engine light was illuminated constantly. The contact also stated that the gear shift began to work after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission sensors failed and needed to be replace. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,323. Ec.
