Drove for an hour, parked for 20 mins started proceeding south drive about 500ft to make right turn when vehicle suddenly accelerated out of control reving up swirving out if control on the northbound lane almost hitting cars and a tree. Finally I got it to stop by breaking and parked at the side of the street in the southbound lane. I thought I was about to crash kill some onw and die. This was an unnerving terrifying experience.

Vehicle was stopped, foot on brake, exiting a public parking lot, when suddenly engine accelerated rapidly and wheels were screeching. The passenger of vehicle had to place transmission in neutral, then park to stop vehicle from moving forward. This action did not stop engine from revving at extreme high speed--rather, the engine would slow down after about 3-5 seconds. This happened 5 times, within a 10 minute 4 mile drive, but not consistently. Driving approx. 15-25 mph between stop signs: brake would be applied and then engine and truck would race forward. Each time the passenger was required to put shift lever in neutral to avoid hitting vehicles or objects in front of vehicle. The driver would clearly state that foot was not on the gas pedal.

As I pulled into my parking space, the vehicle suddenly accelerated, and before I could stand on the brakes it had jump forward about 6 feet onto the sidewalk in front of my building. While standing on the brakes, the engine continued to accelerate, rear tires spinning and smoking, until I shut the engine off. Note that I was just turning into my parking space, running at an idle and preparing to stop when the sudden acceleration occurred. Fortunately, I had my foot on the brake when this happened and I was able to stop before slamming into the building.
