The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated there was a hole in the floorboard underneath the driver's seat caused by extreme corrosion. The vehicle was not taken to be inspected nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under warranty. The failure mileage was 93,000.

Corrosion in heat affected zones on the vehicle frame are a cause for concern on this vehicle. Reporting in the interest of safety.

Asked dealer to locate and diagnose, he says unable to duplicate, creaking still exists. No safety defect.

The frame was mis-engineered in mass, orientation and design to accomodate the chassis that would be riding on top of it, so much so that the driver feels a constant shuddering, a nearly constant steering wheel chatter, and poor dampening on even smooth or slightly bumpy roads. The vehicle also experiences a feeling of road weariness and sloppyness in turns. I have consulted with other owners and they (and a Nissan engineer) say it's confirmed that the vibration is emenating from the back where the especially poor design exists and is channeled/amplified along the way up to the front of the vehicle.

Vehicle was involved in a collision, and the frame was bent in the front. Dealer attempted to repair the frame, but vehicle did not have any support for the frame, causing the frame to bend once again after repairs.
