Electrical issues began within months after purchasing (Dec 2014). Navigation system, radio, interior lights all go haywire unexpectedly. Radio//navigation completely black; interior lights either stay on, flicker or won't come on at all. After taking it back to the dealership & having them test it, they always claimed their computers didn't catch any issues. I requested that my complaints be marked down & sent in to manufacturer every time. That began happening before 20,000 miles and continues today (115,000 miles). The car has never thrown any codes & never had any check engine lights, or any such mechanical issue light notifications come up on dash. The car began losing power around 75,000 miles (oil changes, maintenance done on time)when accelerating the car would skip, jump or almost stall whenever trying to pull out in traffic. Changed spark plugs at recommended mileage (100,000), no change. One day after driving to the gas station which is 4. 2 miles from my home & back home, when mileage was around 100,000 (conveniently immediately after warranty expires) my cars a/c quit working, and the car ran incredibly hot (with absolutely no indication of any issues). I noticed my feet were burning under the driver side dash (while driving). Pulled over, popped hood-immediately saw coolant reservoir (plastic reservoir) was empty, checked oil dipstick and nothingno oil. 3 days prior to this situation I checked fluids (in south georgia during the be summer it's incredibly hot & I was taught to keep an eye on oil/fluids during extremely hot weather. I had an oil change roughly a month prior to this situation as well. After this overheating problem was resolved, my a/c no longer cooled. Recharging did nothingdue to the perfect timing of the warranty expiring that left me with no alternative other than accept my fate & the unbearable georgia heat.

My Juke caught on fire this morning! it only has 32,400 miles on it and I am left with no car and little interest from Nissan. I did smell gas but did not think much of it. My son is on dialysis 3 days a week and at first the corporation told me I would be reimbursed for a rental car for three days but before the call concluded they changed their mind telling me it was pending decision. There is a recall on the 2011-2012 Juke fuel injected engine due to fuel may leak from the pressure sensor, increasing the risk of a fire, that I was not notified of. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Juke, Infiniti qx and Infiniti m vehicles. The fuel pressure sensors may not have been tightened to the correct specification. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen due to heat and vibration causing fuel to leak. They tried to tell me that my car was one that had already been fixed. . . . So, then why am I left walking in the subzero temperatures?.
When turning on the air conditioning in the car after engine startup a very strong smell of gas enters the vehicle cabin. The fumes are very strong and unmistakable. This does not happen every time but happens often enough to be a concern. This started I would say within the past 4-6 months, not sure exactly when. Did not take the vehicle to the dealership for concern, was waiting for an oil change interval to come up. I told the dealership about the issue when I took the vehicle for a timing chain replacement TSB. The dealership (weston Nissan in davie, florida) has said that they could not duplicate the problem. Gas smell/fumes entering the vehicle compartment is a safety/health issue especially when you have a child inside.

While parked in our driveway for more than 30 hrs, my 2013 Juke burst into flames. The fire dept did not find any evidence of arson or tampering and there was no weather occurrence to explain why it became engulfed in flames. The fire started in the engine compartment at 12:40am. Nissan has said that they examined the car and their technical specialist found " no evidence of a product problem, failure, or malfunction that may have caused or contributed to this incident". Nissan will not tell me why the car burned up, just they're not responsible. Why would a low milage, well maintained vehicle catch fire unless there was some kind of product failure? I was lucky that only property was damaged but I feel Nissan USA is not taking the incident seriously.
On January 18th, dealer completed recall notice repair of fuel pressure sensor. When vehicle was picked up from dealer that weekend, only went 2 1/2 miles and vehicle experienced electrical failures. Engine getting fuel, however no power to transmission, steering, brakes. Dealer states its the battery and replaced battery. Approximately 25 miles later we have experienced the same electrical failures. Starting with power, then radio, lights, fans and shifting, and eventually total engine failure. Vehicle has now been towed to dealer again.
The sending unit in the fuel tank failed stranding my 19 year old daughter in traffic during a storm with very poor visibility. This could have resulted in a multi-vehicle wreck with fatalities. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and directed traffic in the rain. The vehicle was towed to the dealership and repairs were made.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Juke. The contact stated the engine failed and the battery drained excessively. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000. The windshield made a squeaking and rattling noise when driving and going over bumps. It was almost a constant sound. The engine would idle and sputter, when stopped at a red light. When the consumer accelerated from the light, the vehicle stalled. It was determined the timing chain snapped and caused damage to the crank sprocket and chain. The times chains, guides, timing chain tensioner and crank sprocket were all replaced. The vehicle started but mis-fired due to the valves being bent. The engine block was then replaced, due to damage to the valve guides and piston tops. The vehicle had to be to towed to the dealer, because the vehicle was emitting blue grayish, colored smoke, and then stalled. Updated 06/18/14.
My Nissan Juke 2013 is having electrical problems. I brought it to gerald Nissan in naperville, IL and they told me the ipdm needed to be replaced for $1,100. 00 and they still weren't sure it would fix the problem. The vehicle won't start sometimes, it stays while driving (very scary). It over heated once because a signal wasn't sent to the fan. I've noticed this is I big complaint issue with Nissan. Is there a recall on such a problem. I can't even drive the car the way it is because I never know what's going to happen next. Joe.
