The contact owned a 2006 Nissan Maxima. While driving 45 mph, a popping sound came from the rear of the vehicle. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into another vehicle. The driver sustained injuries to the chest, neck, and both knees, which required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 136,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Maxima. When the contact took the vehicle in to have the tires balanced, she was informed of a crack in the rear suspension subframe.
