1 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem of the 2004 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 05/30/2007

I own a 2004 Nissan Maxima. I had the tires replaced at around 30,000 miles due to "cupping" on the tires. They wore terribly and were making a terrible noise. I then had to have the right front strut and bearings replaced at 31,000 miles and now at 47,000 miles my left front strut and bearings needs replacing, which will cost me nearly $400. 00. The car has a bad vibration in the steering wheel at 50-60 miles per hour and when braking. Now, my new set of tires have worn badly and are so noisy that you cannot hold a normal conversation at freeway speed. I love the look of the car, but I cannot wait to get rid of it! it is obviously not safe if the suspension bounces you all over the road! additionally, I have had to have the heat shield replaced once and now it needs it again. The power outlets are in the worst possible places I have ever seen. Nissan. . . . Please do something about this before your loyal customers pay for this flaw!.

2 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem of the 2004 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 07/24/2005

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima that has been having problems with the struts from day one. Also the car has a shimmy at a certain speed.

3 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem of the 2004 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 01/15/2005

Brand new 2004 Nissan Maxima, driven normally for months and recently started noticing the struts making a banging noise over normal light road bumps. The ride quality has since deteriorated and is now reaching the point of being dangerous to drive. It has been to two Nissan dealers so far who refuse to acknowledge the problem and keep trying to blame it on me, meanwhile hundreds of other people complain about the same problem, and many other dealerships acknowledge it. There must be something done at the coroprate level from Nissan to rectify this problem. Allowing the dealers to decide what is good and bad, while half of the parts are defective is solving nothing, and only creating more of a hazard and hassle for all Maxima owners.
